On the Fridge

a magnet collection - The owner of this fridge obviously collects frogs! at least the magnetic variety.
I think it looks pretty neat, and tidy! wonder if there are any princes amongst them.

do you keep refrigerator magnets on your fridge?do you keep them just to the top half or all over?do you scatter them about, or keep them in order? Is there a theme to your collection? or is it just what ever captures your eye?Do you use the magnets to hold things or just to look at?

On my fridge there are magnets scattered around, they range from a small calendar to a thermometer to one of those magnets you buy in a shop, with a message on it. I like having magnets on the fridge, it makes the fridge look more interesting, and can be a good place to hang notes.

I have a magnet that has a pinchy clip attached. This pincy clip holds the family 'master calendar.' This would be the calendar onto which all doctors/dentist appointments are entered, all ballgames, recitals and anything of importance is logged! This is the only way I can stay organized and get everything done! There are a couple of small stainless steel circle magnets (green pea-size) that are kept on the upper right corner of the freezer section. These are used for important papers that need to be placed on the fridge as a reminder or that have deadlines etc. For instance, permission slips for school trips and that type of thing.

LOL - as of 3 days ago I don't have a fridge - mine was better than what my daughter had so when I moved I gave her mine. I have always however had magnets on the top for both looking at and holding things. The bottom has always been for the magnetic alphabits for kids and now grandkids.

we've got a bit of every kind on our fridge.. pizza companies, cats, betty page. they're actually functional not just eye candy. i don't really think they're a theme per se..just what somebody thought looked neat in the store.

I actually have what is called fridge poetry. It is all magnetized little words that you can put together and make poetry! It's really cool stuff. When friends come over they make poems on my fridge that stay until they break them up.

most of the magnets on our fridge represents the different places i've been/travelled to over the years. it has sort of become my collection. so whenever i go to a new place/city/country, i see to it that i buy at least one magnet to add to my collection.

I collect magnets and have traded for many of them. My refrigerator is completely covered and so are my freezers. Right now, I'm adding new magnets to the outside of my file cabinets and recently I added this beautiful fish and a magnet with wind chimes attached to the magnet. I would love to get more of the state magnets.

Oh! We love the magnetic graffiti of the kitchen. There are so many magnets holding papers that range from the mundane to the sublime. We stick up proverbs, shopping lists, action items, recipes that are planned (but not just yet, kids art, a starchart that tracks the kids rewards - oh just about anything. Our magnets and the things they hold up transform the refrigerator from a functional icebox to a warm reflection of what's happening in the family, that just perks up the space near the breakfast counter. I never thought of it as such before I responded to your post - the things on our fridge are functional and yet oddly decorative.

I don't have many fridge magnets, just a big plastic banana and a Greek Orthodox (religious) icon (even though I am not really religious). Anyway, these are just used to hold bills to the fridge.

We used to stick magnets on the fridge door - pretty much all over. They are mostly those who get as souvenirs from overseas. I would call in the folly of the youth lol. And why's that? Because right now, dust has settled and dirt and oil has accumulated on the magnet. I find them such a dirty sight to be honest yet it seems such a waste if we were to dump them all away. We don't use the magnet to leave notes because it is not practically. I know people like to leave notes on fridge doors because the fridge is the first place people go to when they get back. Strangely or not strangely, we seldom visit the fridge. Why bother? We do get to the fridge yes but nothing like 32 or 34 times a day. That screams hilarious. For us, we normally stick notes on doors or leave them on tables. But I did not digress. I was just trying to explain that no, we don't use magnets to hold things lol. :P

I have magnets all over. I normally use them to hold up important papers for the kids school. Reminders of field trips, etc. I have a wide assortment, from photo magnets to magnets from a dentist ofc. There is no real order toany of them, just whatever can hold the paper up.

I have a one big refrigerator magnet in our fridge. I don't like those little ones coz i don't like to see it scattered all over,i think it's messy to look at. I also use it to hold things especially when i am in a hurry and need to remind someone in the family.
