I have a Beagle named Buster. Let me tell you something about his eating habits. This dog is not fussy about food at all when it comes to table scraps. We have found out recently that he REALLY loves Mango's. Eating one last night he came and lied at our feet as usual then started whimpering. So my wife handed him the nut with a bit of fruit still on it. Buster went crazy sucking away like a baby on a bottle after waking up. Anyhow this topic is also about FREE, yes I said FREE 4 pound bag of dog food. I recieved mine yesterday. Its from purina. Thanks. Sounds interesting. But what do I do about my 8 month old 50 pound puppy that now insists on getting into the cat liter box and trying to eat the cat droppings? Is there a web site to fix this problem? lol. Also, the dog always tries to eat the cat food, she likes it better than her own dog food. Maybe she really is a cat in dog's clothing...lol. Stumped in Michigan.

being the pup is only 8 months you should

My dogs obey me in all other things, but not the cat boxes. Cats have much higher protein needs than dogs, so I guess that makes cat poop a delicacy to dogs.
We mounted a baby-gate, the swinging kind, on the doorframe of the smallest bedroom, and that's where we keep the litter boxes. Although my big dog could jump it easily, he knows I don't want him to, so it's enough of a barrier. We also feed the cats in there, we have a couple of old dressers and a bay window so they don't have to eat on the floor next to the litterboxes. Good luck!

I love beagles and I use to have a beagel come and visit me everyday and few years back.LOL I lived in a different house then this one. But this adorable beagle I named her Betty. I thought it suited her. She lived down the street from me. And Im talking like a miles down the street. She was always breaking out of her yard to come and see me. I thought she was the cuttest thing. But then we moved and I dont see Betty anymore. I think thats so funny Buster sucking on the nut. Thanks for free offer I will check it out. how funny a dog that eats mangos! Ours won't- We have 2 dogs and they
do eat alot of things but not usually fruit- Veggies though- and of
course meat- thanks for the free food- I have 1 cat and 2 dogs- so I
filled it out for both! I hope I get it!

LOL I can just picture Buster indulging on the mango. Don't know if I should go for the dog food or the cat food - Afraid at times my cat thinks she is a dog the way she acts.

I think there's a choice on type of dog such as 25 lbs
puppy etc. So I think you could opt for the dog food. HAHAHA!!!

thanks for the info grandpa bob! I just ordered my dog food coupon. My Miko is very picky about his dog food. I have to mix something like a gravy or a left over from dinner into his food to get him to eat. I have to give him two insulin shots a day and he has to eat. I think he knows this and he pretends to turn his nose up so I will feed him some human food hahaha! I sneak him little things, like a pizza crust or something small. I know I am not supposed to be giving him too much human food, but he's such a good guy that I just like to treat him to something.

Just add a little HOT water to dry food. Most brands will turn into a gravy like substance when you do this. I do it for Buster. As far a s forgetting the photo, HAHAHA. I just started a discussion talking about the photo which of course I forgot to add. HAHAHA!!!

You know, I didn't even think of that! I will have to try that. Right now we have him on a prescription brand that is wet, and he used to just love it, but lately he has become finicky again, and I have to mix something in with it. But for his snacks we give dry food and he just picks at it. I know he is hungry but he doesn't eat, so I will give that a shot! thanks for the tip.

I love beagles! I had one growing up as a teen named Snoopy (so original!!) But thats really cool about the free food!! 4 lbs!! I dont have a dog right now, but i'll fill one out for my mom, she's got 3 dogs. Thanks! :)

Thanks for this link, I will run over to look at it. I have cats. Dogs especially like fruits and vegetables. I bet the mango seed makes an excellent chew bone, as well. I wonder if we will find a dogfood with mangos included for our pets with exotic tastes. Purina could probably use a lift in their sales. Free food has got to be a great way of advertizing. Good post.

we just let him eat the meat from the nut. I wasn't ready to allow him the nut just yet. I have one more mango sitting here and he may get a chunk tonight. It at least made his breath a little more bearable. HAH!

I have a dog that loves people food over dog food also. But be careful what you feed him. There are many common foods that we eat that are really bad for dogs. Their systems can't digest them and they become toxic in their systems, many of them are fruits, veggies and nuts.
But thanks for the tip about the dog food, I will check it out.

We don't get free dog or cat food!
Yes, the mango eater, just like our lemon eaters & apple eaters... ohh, and grapes.
Don't know what it does to the dogs digestion? Our Dalmation does s not have bad breath, as he eats so many lemons.
I wonder what Busters poos will be like?

Hehe..
Buster sounds like my son, he likes to steal everyone's food even if he's already eaten. I'd honestly hate to take him to an "all you can eat place"..

I got my 2 free bags last year from Purina O.N.E. Grandpa Bob. lol I just got 2 free samples of Maxximum super premium cat and dog food from walmart yesterday. I'm always looking for free samples on the net. Gotten to the point where I'm getting free samples virtually everyday now in my mailbox.

That is amazing that Buster liked the mango! LOL! I do not own a dog or a cat but I will check out the sight anyway to see if they give free fish food. LOL! I doubt it but it won't hurt to look. Thanks for the link!

You can always fill out the form then give the coupon to a friend or anyone you know that has a cat or dog. Doesn't have to be for you.

I have seen many dogs eat a variety of things...never mangos, my friend...I laughed so hard trying to picture this one....

That is just cute! Dogs usually don't eat fruits. I'm sure buster is such a lovable dog. As for your free dog food, I don't think I can avail of it since I live in Asia. My dog would have loved it. Anyway, its nice of you to spread the word of the free dog food. Hope more people will do the same.

Well if that don't beat all. I took the Purina 30 day challenge last year and I had to BUY the food. It was so damned expensive too I thought they can stick their challenge where the sun don't shine. I didn't buy it and they kept hassling me by email. I was not impressed....now i know you get it free, I'm even less impressed.

My mom had a cat that would lick all of the flavour off of a chip or a cheezie and then would proceed to eat it! It was so amusing to watch this. Pets are very amusing at times.

Mangos? That is even goofier than my dog who likes grapes. I also had a neighbour who had an Alsatian. He would jump up into their pear tree, knock down the pears, and eat them. I'd be careful with the mangos or you are going to have to clean up after Buster more than twice a week ;-)
