Do you prefer to "pluck" or "shave" your eyebrows?

Well I do both, but it depends on how much time i have to them. If I am going to a party or some kind of social function, I often shave my eyebrows because it is much faster than plucking them...and less painful...lol...But at times when my kids are asleep and I am just bored to death...lol...I usually spend twenty minutes plucking my eyebrows. Which method do you prefer and why?

It hurts so much to pluck them. I can't hardly stand to do. I've started just shaving mine. I know that plucking is better, but shaving is so much easier and faster and doesn't cause near the pain.

I actually get my eyebrows waxed from a beautician as she does a much better job at shaping than I do and then I maintain them in between waxes with plucking as my eyebrows grow really fast.

They are supposed to not grow back as quickly the more you wax and the older you get and I think thst' true of most people but not ME...and i'm not a particularly hairy kind of person either. So, I've been getting older and I've been having them waxed for over 10 years but within two weeks they have grown back. That's why I have to pluck them to keep them tidy. If I forget to do this, by week three they are starting to look liek caterpillars ;-)

Thank you fro taking the time to respond to my discussion:) I always assumed that by waxing your eyebrows they don't grow back as quickly as plucking or shaving. So how fast do they grow back?

Pluck. Shaving has to happen all the time. Plucking really doesn't hurt that much, and it's easier in my opinion because you can work one hair at a time and make sure you actually get the one you want, and not screw anything up. I think shaving them looks a bit tacky.

I agree that shaving them can look tacky. But I think that if I didn't shave them when I am going out, my overgrown eyebrows would look even tackier...hehe...Thank you for your response:)

I have always plucked my eyebrows. My daughter on the other hand can't tolerate this act. She gets her eyebrows waxed. Lol once I helped her wax them. Oh never again. She was to much of a baby. I've been doing my eyebrows so long now, it doesn't even hurt anymore.

Thank you for responding. I guess if you pluck most of the time, the pain is no longer an issue, but for someone like me who plucks when I only get the chance, it's like doing it for the first time all the time...lol:)

neither, I go to the local salon and get them waxed, it only costs me £5 adn is so quick and lasts for ages, I get them done once every couple of months, it's my little treat to myself.

I have never even considered shaving my eyebrows. I pluck, but if I didn't have to pay for it, I would really prefer waxing them. That's one thing I dont think I'd be able to do myself knowing that the pain is coming. LOL

LOL...Thank you for your response:) I have never tried waxing my eyebrows and I don't think I ever will! That is something that I really don't want to experience, I get enough pain out of plucking...lol

I usually pluck my eyebrows and when and if I get the chance, I get them done at a beauty salon to tidy them up a bit - sometimes i tend to overpluck and they end up looking funny on me LOL

I prefer to pluck my eyebrows but then again I am like you when I am in a hurry I use a battery operated trimmer ( a small one to just touch them up. Plucking is more efficient I think because it gets to the root of the problem.

i pluck my eyebrows now. the reason is because i have developed this phobia about shaving, after i almost shaved all of my eyebrows away. i can get more control over how i want my brows to look with plucking.

I know what you mean, with shaving you can't do anything to even out your mistake, but with plucking atleast we have a slight chance. Thank you for your response:)

waxing is the best way to go really, just have a professional do it. i have tried waxing on my own, and i ended up with mismatch eyebrows for weeks. but between plucking and shaving, i prefer plucking. it may be more painful, but it usually takes a much longer time for the hair to grow back.

I prefer shaving my eyebrow because it is less painful. I've given up on plucking since I really cannot tolerate the pain. Plucking always bring tears to my eyes so I gave it up entirely.

I also like to shave because it takes up less of my time. But I hate the fact that I have to do it every three days!...lol..But when I pluck I can get away with it for atleast 2 weeks...Thanks for responding:)

Actually I tried both plucking and shaving but most often I just leave the way my eyebrows as it is. I don't bother much in terms of shaping my eyebrows. Just lucky to have this kind of brows ...lol (,")

I like to get my eyebrows waxed. It is much less painful that way and it always comes out looking much better than if I do it. They always shape my brows so nicely, if I try to do it in the mirror, I end up looking like one eyebrow has taken a diet compared to it's thiker neighbor. I've never really shaved my brows except maybe once, but I don't want them to grow back that quickly, so if I can't get them waxed, I pluck.
