I believe that you can be a Christian if you do not attend church. No one should Judge you on rather you are a christian or not based on your church attendance. I think it's important to fellowship if you can in church. I try to attend church on a weekly basis, I don't attend every single Sunday, but I try to make it not out of obligation but I want to go. I think that christians should have it in their hearts to want to attend church. Here is a link that you can read about the importance of attending church. http://www.christiananswers.net/q-acb/acb-t009.html Christian by Maya Angelou When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin."I'm whispering "I was lost,"Now I'm found and forgiven. When I say..."I am a Christian"I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong.I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow. ~Maya Angelou~

As I understand it, there are only two things that make you a Christian, they alone are sufficient and without them any amount of going to Church, etc won't help. They are; 1. Accept that, Jesus is the way, the truth and the way and that no-one comes to God except through him 2. Do good works all the best urban

Read the Gospels, start with Mark, pray to God, our father before you read and ask him to give you understanding for Jesus's sake. Talk to God, tell him what you feel and fear. Ask God to help you for Jesus's sake and accept Jesus into your heart. All the best urban

Going to church does not make a person a Christian, any more than going to a garage makes you a car. Asking Jesus to be in your heart and life makes you a Christian. In what way are you a free thinker? Do you think that faith and thoughtfulness are contradictory? Your soul knows that God is a ready source of help, and you pray sometimes, in spite of yourself. Others who are not Christians have done the same. God has used people who are not Christians to do His will, too. The reason Christians go to church is to lend support to one another, and build each other up in the faith. The Bible tells Christians not to forsake the gathering together with each other. If you are a confused person, find someone near you who seems to know why they believe, and visit with them, they will help you out. Bless you, friend.

From the word Christian you remove 'ian' then you will get Christ. If you have Christ with you are 100% Christian.

Christians were originally free-thinkers. I mean who else would defy the religious leaders of Judaism by claiming Jesus was the Son of God? They were rebels drawn from the dregs of society and made pure by their belief.

OK. I stay home and pray to God or to Jesus when I need him. And therefore I am a Christian?Which means I am not a Free thinker which I thought I am? Perhaps I am Christian all along and actually a bad Christian who doesn't pray much and not going to church?

O too pray to God for help - I also pray to thank him when something good happens. One does not have to go to church to be Christian. There are many who go to church on a regular basis but live their lives in anything but a Christian manner. A member of my family is being tried very hard by a man who says he is Christian. If he is then someone taught him a different aspect of what being a Christian is to what I always thought. This man commits slander on a regular basis. He has a teenage daughter who says she hates him because she has no privacy around him. When she is undressing he opens her bedroom door and stands watching her. There are many more things. These people go to a church that was started by a man who was the pastor at another church but got kicked out when the church funds were found to be short. Nothing Christian about that. I think the best way to be Christian is to "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you." Sitting in Church every time the doors oen does not make you Christian.

you know god is there all the time. so pray any time not just when you need him,and also give praise to the lord every day for things that go right.they go right cause god has helped you do things the right way,and remember god does not forget but forgives you for the wrong. so open your heart and let god shine through you
