I like to travel very much . But I like to know about the people of the place, their style of living etc rather than seeing buildings or palaces of that place. What about you ?

I also really love to travel. I like to go to unspoilt places in the world that do not have lots of tourists. Cities have high rise blocks but I like to see low rise buildings elsewhere. It is lovely when the buildings are in a traditional style. I like to see wildlife being protected. For example in Belize manatees are being looked after by a ranger that makes sure people row boats as they can be hurt by boats that use engines in the waters where they are feeding. I like to see a natural looking landscape like wide African plains or stunning beaches with waving palm trees. One of the best things about travel is meeting the local people. In the Maldives the tourists are mostly kept on tourist islands. There are only a few islands where the locals live that the tourists are allowed. It is fascinating to see the people living their lives. Their homes are quaint looking. The very Muslim religion is seen as very important to the local people. In Kenya it was delightful to meet the Masai people, see their red robes and tiny mud huts. It was great to buy some of their hand made jewellery. The other day in my nearest city I was on a bus and people were moaning about the seats. It made me remember the seats far more tightly packed on the local buses in Sumatra. I met some interesting locals there. In Samoa when a bus is full people start to sit on each others laps. The people were so friendly there.
