Bishops Nose

Is it weird that even though it is a part of the chicken and it is cooked and obviously not poisonous or anything like that but it grosses me out so much to think that this is the chickens butt that I can not even contemplate eating it!!!!

I had to laugh samson 1967 for we here in Australia call it parsons nose. So I actually went in and checked your profile to find out where in the world you are. Its funny it still has a religious conitation to it. I wonder why? Around the table at our house it is actually an honor to beable to eat it. Funny ha.lol

I have actually tasted it many times and too late! its already in my mouth. LOL! I don't really like it because I find it too fatty. I could literally imagine my arteries clogging up instantly when I eat those. But when I was a little girl, I love eating it especially if its cook as buttered chicken or super crispy fried chicken.

Hehe, I haven't heard anyone talk about this for years! My great gran always used to call it the 'parson's nose' which I suppose is pretty much the same thing! I've never been able to bring myself to eat it - I can't imagine myself putting anything or anyone's butt in my mouth... I don't doubt the fact that it tastes nice, but I don't think I could do it :o)

LOL! It's the first time I heard the chicken butt being called the Bishop Nose! Yes, I like it very much. It's actually my favorite part of the chicken.

Hi samson. I have tasted it and I dont like it. Something about the fatty taste that I get when I eat. But I know a lot of people like it and my sons really love it.

No, I never had the pleasure to taste it before. I will try it sometimes when I get the courage somehow.

oohhh.... i love chicken butt when it comes to fried and grilled chicken butt. In my country everyday we can see peoples selling the grilled chicken butt at the night market,..It's sort of a street food,..but bet you,..it taste nice,..my sister always buy a fresh chicken butt and we marinate them with some pepper, salt, and turmeric powder for a few minutes before frying them in the hot oil,..Yeah the fat is nice to taste,..when the chicken butt fried, the taste of the fried fat and the skin really makes u want to eat them more and more and more....

Ew! The thought of it is yucky! LOL. We went to see the school of my cousin who is in grade school. I suddenly become hungry because I can see the street foods surrounding school's gate. I asked my younger sister to buy us something like fish balls. She came with I do not know what they call it and we eat even though I still liked something else. I found out it is the butt of the chicken. I haven't tried it before but it taste yummy at that time and at the same time yucky at the back of my mine. I stick have 5 butts in it. I tasted 1 butt only. LOL. Thanks for the information about that "Bishop Nose". I am learning from you my friend. God bless!
