In our family everyone chips in. They all like to see who can husk the corn the best! It's not really about the husk. It's about who can de-silk the corn the best.

I like to leave that to the kids, they have a speed race, but do a good job. Their not old enough to do much else. Husk the corn, snap the beans, small stuff.

My sister husks, adds butter, and wraps it in tin foil. I preffer it grilled with the husk on.

I usually do it. Sometimes I just do it at the grocery store before I bag the ears, unless I'm not planning on serving it for a few days.

Yeah, it stays sweeter longer if you leave it in the husk. You are supposed to husk it right before cooking to keep the corn fresh. Or so I have read.

I just bring it home, and husk it right before it's cooked.

My grandkids get a kick out of husking corn. I Think it's because they really love eating it. And they like to help me prepare meals.

OH, you got my juices flowing! I love fresh corn on the cob! Here, we all chip in husking, then I usually wash the ears with a soft brush to desilk them. Just a few more weeks before it's ready. I can hardly wait. I better start stocking up on the butter. LOL!

There is nothing like real butter on corn on the cob. We are growing it in our backyard garden. It's looking pretty good.

In our house it is usually me that husks the corn. It's a quick and easy process for me. And since it's just me and my boyfriend that live here I do the better job so I get stuck with the job. LOL!

So you probably only have to do a few ears of corn. Hey have your boyfriend help. Then if he does. Tell him he did such a good job, so the next time he will really want to, and save yourself some work lol.

Dehusking and desilking corn is one of my favorite parts about corn on the cob. We don't really get corn on the cob all that often, but when we do, I gladly take the job of getting it ready to cook or eat!

It is kinda fun to husk corn because it smell so good and fresh. But I hate the desilking part.
