Wrapping gifts

years ago I used to love to wrap gifts. I love all the different type of ribbons and bows. I love the shiny metallic papers that reflected the christmas lights. I loved it. That was before I had 6 kids and christmas wrapping turnned into a 3 day event. I still enjoy the first couple of hours but after that it just get tiering. Then I start to get sloppy and in a hurry. I havent got to the point where i even want to put everything in a bag but when the kids grow out of christmas and it get's smaller I think I will enjoy getting out the paper, ribbons,bows,and boxes again.

I usually like to wrap them with pretty or funny paper. If they are too large or too oddly shaped to wrap, I may put them in a pretty bag with a bow and some tissue paper. I like the way gifts look when they are wrapped.

I cannot wrap gifts well. I usually wrap Christmas gifts every year, but that just got old and I got tired of them looking really crappy, so I decided to go with giftbags. It only takes me a few minutes to do it, and I'd rather be able to shove things in bags and be done with it instead of spending a long time wrapping gifts that I just end up frustrated with.

I think it is fun to wrap the presents. My sister has always been one of those people who put a gift in a pretty bag and they are set. I commented one time to her how I wished I could unwrap something instead of pulling it out, so the next Christmas she came with all my presents wrapped. That sounds like I was being rude, but we were jokng with each other. To me, it is fun to pick out unique paper and see someone open a present you tried so hard to make look pretty. But if the gift is oddly shaped, I will go straight to the gift bags. : )

i dont do gift wrapping anymore. i just put them inside a dainty bag, place a card of thought and thats it. i used to wrap my gifts before, since these cute bags come in store i've used them instead of wrapping. saves time, too.

I like pretty bags...they are reusable to those you give them to if you don't write all over them and many times I don't have the paper on hand. I like to stuff them with tissue and adorn them with ribbons.
