Is it possible to be slim but still have big hips?

Way back when before my baby was born, I worked out like a fanatic and was very slim. Except for my hip area. I don't know why it happened that way. I did leg workouts and a lot of step aerobics, so all that area should have been smaller, but it wasn't. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a natural phenomenon for women? And, why is that area so hard to trim down?

there are people who are slim but their hips is not. majority of these people, their hips are big because of muscle. most of the volleyball players have big hips. well thats from my own observation.

That is a good possibility. When I was much younger I was into gymnastics, yoga and weight lifting. I did squat type exercises with weights, and it's possible I built up the rear area a bit much. At the time, I was simply going for added strength. That was awhile back though. I will be working on it again to see if I can get improvement in the hip area. Thanks for the tips.

I think it happen to most women. When women have undergone few pregnancies the hip is enlarged and once the hips becomes square in shape thats impossible to return to J.LO shape.lol

That is an excellent point that I don't think anyone else covered. Pregnancy does do that, I've found. Before my baby came along, I had some hip area, but certainly not like now. I struggle to get the weight off in that area daily. It is not easy, like it was before. Before she came along, and I had the pregnancy, I could simply diet and the weight would fall off of me. Not so much anymore.

Ja it is possible to be slim and have big hips. My foster daughter is slim and has a beautiful body, and she has big hips and there is just nothing that she can do about it at all. That is just the way she is built and she has to accept it and love her body the way it is. I feel sorry for her, but ja, there is nothing I can do about it.\ You seem to have tried everything to get rid of your problem and then I think once you have tried everything then you just need to accept that this is the way it is going to be for you. Have a great day!
