Well my dauh=ghter and future son-in-law and both grandsons came by tonight around 8:30. He decided to get back and do more of my gutters as he promised. First thing I said was watch my flowers. HAHAHAHA! Anyhow they set up bright halogen lights in my front lawn so he could see to do the work. I wasn't worried about the noise and all at this late hour as it was only hammering a few nails that he would be doing. My wife freaked out thinking someone would call the cops for the noise. being so late and hardly any traffic the noise did carry but not enouigh that I'd complain about it. Anyhow here's a photo of my daughter doing dome work as Andy sat watching as did my wife. he got the largest area covered. About 1/3 done. So his next time he has off he hopes to finish the job.

It's great that he came back after what he did to your flowers the last time, hopefully no damage done last night :)
It's nice living in the country now, there are a couple neighbors kinda close but it seems acceptable to do some hammering and such at night. Last night my ex (who I'm renting rooms from) and grandson were running around the yard on their 'Gators' - grandson has a mini-version of Poppas. They hauled branches to burn - was so hot yesterday couldn't do anything outside so while they did that I cleaned out the grandson's swimming pool and the 3 of us moved it to a new location in the yard. It's now filled again and ready for today which is supposed to be another hot one.

yeah he's a great kid and great for my daughter and the
grandsons as well. Where's your house? I could use a swim
today with this heat and humidity here in Minnesota. Uggg.

Yep same here - heat and humidity, 11 a.m. and it's 85 already. Jackson, Michigan about half way between Chicago and Detroit. Pool isn't but 3 feet deep but nice size for grandkids to play and Grandma to cool off.
Bad think today is headed to courthouse in town shortly - have to do the pantyhose and dress bit :( not looking forward to that at all.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh many a nites we would be pounding away after 10pm. and never got a complaint cept for our one neighbor where we used to live. He always complained about everything so we just ignored him. Glad you son-in-law could make it out to start on the gutters and no more mishaps....so far. lol
Now, is it just my puter or are other ppl having problems not being able to view pics on mylot? I know you mentioned it a few days ago, Grandpa Bob, but the glitch still isn't fixed at my end.

This went on close to midnight. Hahahaha!!! Well heres a shot of
what's done so far. 3 more areas to get them hung up still. He will finish it soon I bet. Hopefully with no flower mishaps again. The
dark end of the gutter showing is a brown end cap. They had no white ones left. I've white acrylic spray paint to fix that. Hahahahaha!!!

It's not just your computer, blackbriar, as I too, am unable to view the photos in this discussion. I've also had the problem with 'some' people's avatars disappearing as well, leaving just a blank white box, with a red x in it.
Have you been having these problems too, Grandpa Bob?

I don't think anyone could really complain about you working late into the night, it's not like you would do it every week!
I only got one complaint for working late, but that was after midinght and I was hammering on an adjoining wall with the neighbour. (I still think he was an a$$, since it was when we were decorating after moving in)

I think that is great...he is diligent about completing the job...no flower damage this time...so there is hope for him...LOL
My husband frequently sets up lights and works on things late in the night...since he is disabled and has great difficulties at times doing things... I admire him for not giving up....
I know that you are happy to have this work being done on your home, my friend...

Well it sounds like he is determined to get it done. I guess if it was me making the noise, if my neighbors had a problem, they would talk to us first. No cops. 8:30 is not too late, 11:30 would be late. I guess he does not get a lot of time off. That sounds pretty dedicated.

Yes!!! mom the biggest worry wart I have even known in my life. I am going nuts not having it done. I am looking forward to rain just for the gutters sake. HAHAHA! Almost hosed the roof down to test them. He didn't do that though. Hmmm? Some handy man he is. Does a hal job then doesn't even test them for leaks etc? Hmmm? Can't fire him though.

You are so lucky to have a helpful daughter & son-in-law. My husband tries to help my father, but with him working shift hours, it can be difficult.
Glad your flowers survived this time!
8.30 is not too late to making a bit of banging noises, but it depends how late it qwent & whether your neighbours had younf kids who go to bed early.
One of our dogs barks far later than that.
You will be pleased when your gutters are finished i bet.

I wished we was able to call the cops here, the idiots next door never stop banging but I won't go into that lol..
"Watch my flowers" hehe.. Sounds like my mum, when I used to play football as a kid she'd go potty if the ball went near them lol
Anyways, as always thanks for sharing.

Hi Grandpa Bob,
I rated your family photo +, even though I 'can't' see it. I'm sure it's great as usual. I hope this 'glitch' on here is fixed soon. *See my comment to blackbriar. I'm so happy for you that you've got such a wonderful 'son-in-law to be.' I'm sure things will look awesome, by the time he's through. I'm happy for your daughter and grandsons too, as they've found 'a good man' there.:)

Sounds like you will be getting a good son-in-law. Keep him around. I like the names, Mandy and Andy sounds like a baudavilla act that needs to go on the road. "THE AMAZING MANDY AND ANDY SHOW" LOL I am sorry I could not resist.
Great photo and I rated as usual.

nice to see the pics friend, it looks night you are working at the garden after 8.30 pm? That is really fantastic and i know you really enjoy doing it. Now finish your work done as soon as possible, dont worry about the noise, I think that noise is not as loud as ddisturbing the neighbours....right?

So you're saying that your plants made it through safely this time around? LOL Well at least he kept his promise and came back to work on the gutters some more. Hopefully he'll finish soon, and your plants will be able to breathe a sigh of relief (and so will you Hahahahaha).
