I know someone who has two very young children that are ages 1 year and 3 months, Also what would be a good daily schedule for children this age? Thanks I know some of you will have some good ideas.

For the 3 month old, he/she will be sleeping and eating most of the time. When the baby is not doing that, talking, reading, massaging, singing, playing peek-a-boo, making eye contact and cooing noises. Babies really like that. For the 1 year old, they seem to be fascinated by toys that are colourful and makes a lot of noise. I remember when mine was at that age, he liked walking around the house and exploring everything. Just make sure the house is baby-proofed. He also enjoyed reading, playing with toys, watching a little TV (I only let him watch educational programmes) and playing with the dog. Yes, definitely having a set schedule is good. For the 1 year old, it's good that he/she has a set time to wake up and go to bed, nap times, play times, snack times, etc.

I think that you have some good ideas, I have not had any small children in a long time, it is hard to remember what that they did when they were small. It seems like so long ago.

I think they just sleep whole day. :) That's what my kid did when he was so small. You should talk to him, express him looking deep into his eyes. You can make the child listen to sweet music. I heard making the child listen to music makes a good impact on the baby. Normally there should be some fixed schedule so that the baby can get used to all those things like having food at fixed time, taking bath, playing etc etc. It's good if they are taught all these things to be done as a routine, they will do it themselves once they start growing up a little.

I think establishing routines is a good thing to do when possible. I need to do that for myself actually....
