What would be your description of a good parent?

What do you expect to see when you are looking at parents and children? What makes you think someone is a good parent? or what makes you think someone is a bad parent? What would make you call child protective services on someone? What would make you think someone had made a false report?

Thats interesting, I wonder though about how a parent can always be sure that they have done enough to insure their child will grow into a good citizen.

To me a good parent is someone who can support and guide their offspring, regardless of age of the parent, and of their offspring. I hesitate to use the word "child," because eventually that child is going to become an adult. I'd hate to say "parent and child" when the "child" I am referring to, is 33 years old.

Okay, I think that it is good for a parent to guide their child into adulthood, but eventually it is up to the child to use the advice they have been taught and show whether or not they have learned anything.
