I am thinking about making some easy quick summer recipes. That do not require heating up the house. The air conditioner does not really work in here.

This sounds like something we make a lot, and my kids like to eat this kind of foods. Thanks for the idea.

My favorite is anything off of the grill really. You do have to go outside but just the smell makes me think of summertime. BBQ chicken is the best with pork n beans, corn on the cob, bread, watermelon. Yummy I wonder if hubby wants to BBQ this weekend.

I think that grilled food is good too, but we do not have a grill,. I suppose we could go buy one, eventually. or maybe just go visit someone who happens to be grilling out.....LOL

I'm a big fan of salads with either chopped up lunch meat or pre-cooked chicken (leftover chicken works well for this). Other than that, grilling outside is a good choice, if you have that option. True, it's hot when you have to go out there (and even hotter over the grill), but the house stays cool and you still have a good meal.

I love salad's but I don't have anything for a salad today, I suppose that I can go to the grocery store eventually, maybe one day this week.

Well sandwiches always do the trick when it's really hot. Make sandwiches and have some chips or something else that doesn't require you to cook.

Sandwishes are good the only thing is the bread gets stuck in my throat. But it is a good idea. For everyone else in the house.
