I came up with a new startegy today for helping me to chose Best Responses...

What I have decided to do is when I go through my responses to the discussions I have started I will comment back to the ones that I feel gave a response good enough for the best response. Then at the end of my comment to them I will put in Thanks! and also the persons name. This way when I go back to mark the best response then I just have to re-read the ones I put thanks next to and chose from those. I think this is going to help me when it comes to giving the best response to someone. What do you think of my way to remember who gave good responses? How do you chose best response? Do you go back and read each and every response? Do you have another type of strategy? Please share.

That is a good strategy. I think it is necessary to have a plan or it gets over whelming trying to choose. I don't have a plan at the moment, so yes, you guessed it, I get over whelmed at the task and end up putting it off for later. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. I have set a goal to come up with a similar strategy for myself by the end of the week. Thanks for the encouragement.

Sounds like a good strategy. Your going to laugh at mine :) As I've said before I hate picking best responses because so many people give great responses I can't pick just one. So, this is what I do - I keep a list of my discussions and who I gave best response to. On the next one I'll give it to someone I haven't given it to recently unless one just really really jumps out at me. Which reminds me, I haven't done that since before the move and need to :) thanks for the reminder :)

Esch one has different method to select the best responce! I got through sensing the response while reading that this response has some thing more to express and its relevant! There is no need to go back and read other responses!

That is an excellent idea. I will try it with my discussions as I am having some problems remembering who gave me the best response.

I personally just give "Best Response" to the person who seems to put the most effort into answering the original question.
