What is your average hours of sleep?

When I go to sleep most of the time I know nothing of the world. LOL. That is why I never had an idea as to how did I have a photo on my cellphone sleeping. It was my sister who took a picture of me while I was asleep. I discovered that it was the time when I was sleeping because of the logged time I saw. Since we have a shifting schedule at work, my usual sleeping time is not fixed. During day and night shift I sometimes sleep between 4-5 hours a day. During my day-off I sleep more than 8 hours. LOL.

Wow I like to be in your place. I love to sleep without hastle during my graveyards shifting schedule. It is usually my problem to sleep straight like 4 hours or so. Thank you for responding. God bless!

I sleep around 6-7hours a day and when I do, I try to lock my doors *LOL* It's a tough job to have if your schedules are not fixed. It's not good in the long run because your body clock changes all the time. Anyways, about the picture, it's nasty that she took your picture while you where asleep. Now everybody knows how you sleep *LOL*. Good luck with your job.

Hi my friend thank you so much for the response. I am used to having my shifting schedule. I know it is not good for the health. There was a time that we tried to ask our boss to change if but we failed to negotiate. God bless and have a great day ahead!

Oh. You should negotiate again. *LOL* On the other hand, it's good that at least during your off-day you sleep longer, so as to revitalize the energy. My friends who work graveyard or with conflicting schedules usually take up vitamins so as to boost their immune system. Since they say that lack of sleep makes a person prone to sickness. You take care, thank you for responding. Good Luck! Happy posting.

It all depends on the day in question really. Sometimes I stay up all night and end up sleeping up to eight hours in the day at one stretch. Some times I sleep 4 hours at night and may be one or two more hours in the day time. But sometimes I may accumulate a lot of hours of sleeplessness and just go for up to 12 hours at a stretch. As i said it all depends on the day.

I think to some it depends if there's a party. LOL. I myself depends on my shifting schedule at work. I often don't like staying up late at night just roaming around the city. When am awake at night, I'm studying something or at work. God bless!

i love sleeping!! I think it's under my interests for my profile in mylot. haha. sleep is so good for you though. all the tired worn out cells get repaired. i sleep at least 7 hours every night. my ideal of course is 8 hours, and on weekends 10 hours. but even on weekends i don't get to sleep so much cos there are always events. my friends like to talk till late at night so by the time i come home, it's too late to that those 10 hours cos the next morning there's something else i need to wake up for, be it housework or whatever. sleep repairs your body and your soul. :)

I do believe sleep repairs some missing brain cells of mine. LOL. Everytime I am on my graveyards shift which is 10pm-6am I often notice my braincells are missing. I do not know what's the date or the things that had happened are so hard to remember. I am envy of your sleeping hours. God bless!

During school, I sleep for only about 6 hours because I cant fall asleep until 1 or so, and school starts at 7:30. I get 8 hours (at least) of sleep during the summer though.

i usually get b/w 9-10 plus i take a 2 hr. nap during the day with my kids. i took a test online once describing my sleeping habits, and they said i needed to seek a sleep dr. or something immediately. Idk y but i think my body requires that much sleep or else i'll be really tired throughout the day.

yeah but we need it, being a mom is a full time job, + extra overtime. my daughter still wakes up in the middle of the night and she'll be 2 in august. that's why i'm up right now, it's 4:30 am. but i need the sleep too b/c i'm a light sleeper and they say light sleepers don't get the adequate amount of sleep that deep sleepers get.

How much I sleep varies a lot. After I started taking an antihistamin that is supposed to prolong my sleep i sleep about 8 hours a night. before I could sleep from 3 to 10 hours a night. I think everyone needs at least 6 hours to function properly. One may feel rested but may not be.

I am always tired and this is largely due to the fact that i spend most of my time asleep. I would say that on average i can sleep for 12 hours a day which is apalling. Its a boredom thing, i am currecntly out of working and searching ffor a job but because there is not alot i can be doing i try to sleep for longer to make the day pass faster. I know i shouldn't wish my life away but its so tiring doing nothing. I need a job!!!

Try to take some vitamins for you to have an energitic body. If you do I am sure you can concentrate in your studies. If you don't have enough sleep try drinking coffee or tea to keep you awake in school. God bless!
