what is the most popular food in your country or the place where you live?

Here in the philippines, there has to be rice in every meal. Even in international fast foods, they've included rice in their combo meals. Before you have the option between rice or roll but now it's just plain rice because filipinos aren't used to eating bread for lunch and dinner. We eat bread only for breakfast.

In every meal of the Filipinos (Philippines) Rice is always present. Whatever viand you have, it will always be paired with rice. But among the famous for my country. Balot is popular. But i cannot eat it. Its an exotic street food here.

I think the most popular food around here right now is anything involving chicken..fried mostly..we have these little chicken spots all over the city and they seem to make hundreds a day on fried chicken and french fries..I can't lie, I love it myself..

I'm not really sure because where I live, in southern California, there are a lot of choices as to where and what to eat. I would probably say the fish taco is very popular. In fact, Mexican food is probably the most common item on any menu in this area as we are close to the Mexican border. It's pretty much my favorite food, too, other than pizza and stuff with pumpkin in it. In the United States, in general, I would say Pizza and Hamburgers are the most popular food. But, potatoes are very popular here and most people eat them as a staple.

In my country and my city the most popular dish is 'Biryani' which is rice stew with meat, very tasty.

I live in the USA and my husband thinks he has not eaten if there has been no potatoes on the table at dinner. He thinks there must be bread of some type for each meal also.
