Do you ever order salads as an entree at restaurants?

A lot of places offer entree salads. I like getting them at places like Buffalo Wild Wings or Chili's. Do you ever order these? Do they fill you up? Where do you usually order these?

Yes I do. And I always feel so much healtier after I've eaten a salad as an entree rather than some greasy food. I really like grilled chicken salads. My favorite place for salads is Texas Roadhouse.

Oh yes, I do that often. My favorite has always been the Blackened Chicken Salad with ranch dressing from Applebee's. But they recently took it off the menu. However one of the waitresses told me that if you ask for it, they will make it for you even though it's not on the menu. So that's what I do now. And yes, the salad is usually filling enough for me.

Sometimes I order a salad starter, but not always. I don't always feel hungry enough to cope with three courses. I feel salads fill you at the time, but very soon you feel hungry again, besides which, I would only order a side salad size, perhaps with prawns or something. I like to have a side salad with a pint of prawns in the shell, for lunch though, with a nice, warm bread roll and a dip for the prawns. Yummy.

The only type of salad I would order as an entree is a taco salad! =p If I'm eating out, I want to feel like I am treating myself, and salad just isn't really a treat for me by itself. I'd far rather order steak or a hot sandwich. I do like eating salad in restaurants, but it would be a side salad as opposed to an entree. I guess that's why I'm not skinny though!

Depending on my mood or the restaurants vegetarian selections I order salads a lot. I like the oriental chicken salad at Chili's (minus the chicken).

Whenever I go out for Japanese food, I always order the house salad --- which, in every restaurant I've been to, is lettuce, tomato, & cucumber topped with ginger dressing. It tastes so sweet, I love it. Sometimes I just fill myself up on the salad. But most of the time I won't order a salad unless it has really appealing vegetables; after all, if it's mostly lettuce, then there's really not much nutrition in that. Lettuce is mostly water & fiber, with not much of anything else.

I've gotten the entree salads at a few restaurants, and most of them are far too big for me to eat! There is one at Steak and Shake with cut up chicken strips, and I was usually only able to eat the chicken strips and a bit of the lettuce and other veggies.

Sometimes I will have caesar salad with my meal but because I have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) salads don't much like me so I should stay away from them, or eat very little. When I go to East Side Mario's I prefer to have the Italian Wedding Soup but it has spinach in it and I am usually in pain before my meal is finished.

I don't eat out much, but I often order salads as the main meal. Mostly, though, lately, I only eat out at fast food restaurants and only sparingly. I order them from Jack in the Box and McDonalds the most.
