I wash my hands constantly. It stemmed from two reasons, the first being a mother and the second being a teacher. Germs are spread so easily just by touching anything at all that may be harboring germs and then touching your face, especially your nose or mouth. Did you ever stop to think how many germs are sitting on the handle of your shopping cart? I carry a small package of wipes with me just for that alone. I have to admit I'm a bit of a germaphobe, but I don't get sick too often. Do you also wash your hands frequently for the same reasons or do you think I'm being a little too careful?

I was my hands constantly because I am a mother too. I am always preparing food and snacks so it is important to keep clean. Also I go a lot of gardening etc which gets them dirty. I only wish my childern would have developed the same desire to wash all the time too because I have to always remind them to wash up.
I don't think you are being too careful unless your skin in peeling away from overwashing. Best to be clean!

I wash my hands only before taking any food. I india we have the habit of eating with hands. So it is necessary we wash our hands before eating. I don't think our own germs don't harm us because it is already there in the body and the bad effect of the germ is already being taken care of our immunity system.

I think that over concious about anything leads us towards one kind of abnormality!
When it crosses the limitations, it creates problems and some time the person enters in maniac catagory! You have already mentioned germphobea and it is some how not good because the kids also get such thing when see the elders doing. So they become more cautious about from young age and entered in this phobea and maniac areas.
This is not good for them!

While I appreciate your concern for cleanliness, becuase cleanliness is important for a healthy life, but too much obsession for clealiness is a psycriatic obsession, better
you consult a psycriatist soon.

When I am sick or if my husband is sick, I am constantly having us wash our hands. When I am around my nieces, I wash my hands a lot, but just on a day to day basis, nah. I am not a germ freak because I know that germs out out there living everyday around everything. I can't go through my life worrying about getting sick from a germ. It's gonna happen.
By the way- Love your new picture. Thank god you are in my friends list or I wouldn't haven't commented. LOL

We wash our hands throughly with plenty of water before every meal, since we are used to eating our food with our hand. No spoon or fork or chopsticks for the purpose . It's quite plain eating with your right hand. Hence we have to bother about the cleanliness of our hands .

Yea, I wash my hands quite a bit. Every time it gets dirty, I wash it.
In a way this is good, yet I am concerned that my hands will get too raw.:P
