Holiday Week--Are you working or did you take off?

The drive into work today was very easy. There were not as many cars on the road and no wrecks! I made two stops along the way, one for gas and another stop at Burger King to pick up breakfast. I am now at work and there is nobody here. I've seen all of three other people in the past hour. I'm assuming that a lot of people have taken off for the 4th of July holiday.
What about you? Are you working or did you take a day or two off? or the whole week?

Disadvantage to being my own boss and working from home is I seem to seldom get away from work. Holiday weekend is here, I have a long list of things to get done, and don't even have plans at this point for doing anything special. May have to check into fireworks shows in the air and see about getting out for a few hours.

Same here except my daughter asked her dad and I to watch the 2 kids (2 & 4) over night Saturday saying she'd be home Sunday afternoon. After noon Monday and she's still not home - it is next to impossible to 'write' even responses here with a 2 year old attached to my hip, 4 year old doing every thing he can to annoy the 2 year old and my 16 year old son doing everything he can to annoy all of us.
My ex whom I'm renting rooms from now is smart - he exscaped to the shop out back early this morning and hasn't been in once since :(

I deffintley took the week off my work thought this would be the best week to take it off being the 4th of july and all and im exited about this week and all im going to do is relax and have one hell of a time hopefully I can make a lot of money posting on mylot since I have the week off work lol I will do my best to make a lot of money here this week.

I am working extra so that others can take time off. I need the money, and I figure that my time will come in August. Starting with the 4th, I will probably work six days straight. I would not mind so much, but that is my Husband's weekend off. I will miss being online, although most of those days, or should I say, some of those days, are only four hours. However, I am working twelve hours on the Fourth, and ten on Saturday, if I work it and seven on Sunday. I will not be on here that much, that is for sure. It will not be that quiet, either, as I work in a residential program.

Since I don't work outside of the home, I guess that doesn't really apply to me. Even though my son's girlfriend normally has Tuesday through Thursday off for her college classes. They have told her that everyone is required to work on the forth so she says that hopefully she only gets a few hours.
