When I travel, I don't check in a really expensive hotel. I just try to find some cheaper ones, but safety factors should be taken into consideration. I don't care about breakfast, because I love to dine out instead of in the hotel.

When I have a travel, I don't pay attention where I'm going to live. Living anywhere isn't important for me. Because usually we will wake up early and go out to see the sighseeing. Then we will be back it late hours. It's just like a stay and we just have a shower and sleep there.
I won't pay much for the living. I even lived in a youth hotel. As long as there are bathroom and a bed for the room, it's just my ideal choice:)

i agree with you. when i travel, i spend most of my waking hours outside, sightseeing so at the end of the day, all i need is a decent room where i can sleep to get ready for an activity-packed day the next day.

Usually when I travel I take a tent but if I go to a motel at all, it is a cheap one. I don't even need the bed and breakfast service. I just grab something on my way out. I suppose the bed and breakfast service would be fine too though. I'm really not too picky.

I believe that you get what you pay for and I personally like the hotel stay to be a part of my holiday, I don't just want a bed to sleep in but I want the nice surroundings, the cleanliness and good selection of food and good customer service. Therefore when I travel I tend to be a bit of a snob and go for a higher class hotel, but having said that, I love a good bargain, so often I will book in advance online and use the cashback rewards sites so I earn money back, I'll usually book via a third party website as well as it often works out cheaper and you get breakfast included. All in all I like a nice hotel and would be willing to pay more if it made my whole holiday more enjoyable.

Even though I would love to check into a fancy smancy hotel with all the amenities, I go for something that is comfortable, has the necessities I need, bed, bathroom and be able to get a free breaky with it LOL

hii, for me it depends on going where and with whom I travel with. if I travel with my kids to go to another country I prefer to choose budget hotel but very clean and I will find out first if there's a hooker or not in that kind of hotel because if the hotel reputation is bad I don't wanna go there, If I travel with my kids to the another town in my country I prefer to go for the expensive hotel but not really expensive, thou. In case I travel alone I prefer cheap hotel with good reputation as long as I can sleep in there because I don't need the expensive hotel its just for sleep I will be travelling a lot in there.

I really prefer to stay in expensive hotels, but the budget usually dictates that we stay in cheap motels instead. We recently drove across the country, stopping each night to sleep. We stayed in cheap motels all but one night, and the only night we stayed in an expensive hotel, it was because it was the only room left for miles, and I was exhausted. They definitely had the nicest breakfast of all of the places we stayed! :)

It really depends on where you are in the world, whether in the city or outside the city. I have travelled quite a bit, and usually within major cities, I will stay in hotels, usually 3.5 to 4 stars in standard and comfort. The important thing is that the rooms must be comfortable and preferably have its own attached bathrooms. I like hotels which are well located, near to MRT or bus stations, or near amenities like shopping malls or some major tourist attractions. Outside the major cities, in smaller towns especially, there may not be hotels even if you want to stay in one. Some places only have motels or B&B joints. I don't mind going for these, and in fact, I have stayed in these many times in my travels. I have also stayed at homesteads and farms that come with bed and breakfast facilities. They are normally good and clean, and I have enjoyed almost all the motels and B&B joints that I have ever stayed in.

Thanks for your vote. I forgot to add that sometimes I hire a car and move from cities to cities, towns to towns. I usually try and find a place to stay which has free parking if I do drive. Usually most places would have except for some hotels in the cities.

Depends. It's up to my pocket is full or empty. Everyone wants to live in a luxury hotel with food in bed. But how we pay for that if we don't have so much money. Spending should balance with your imcome. Bank can lend money and can take the interest from you. So be frugal is not a bad thing.
