Do you max out your credit cards shopping and have to pay for it until July? Or do you control your spending and make it more about family?
For me it's about family and we even try to do some homemade gifts just to spend time together with the kids. What about u?

I try to do a little bit of shopping here and there so that it's not all at once.

I know this was started a while back and it's now the middle of April 2008 when I am responding. But, I wanted to add my 2 cents. I usually work extra hours and stay within a budget when it comes to Christmas gifts. I also make handmade and homemade gifts, too. I've been spending more and more on Christmas each year, but my income's being going up more and more, too, so I don't feel guilty.
