So I had a rough day...

Today was a bad bad day for me at work. I was filling in for the guy that normally does traffic, and there were not a lot of inbound calls, so basically my job is to have managers move people to outbound calls. Most days this goes smoothly. Today however, it did not. No matter how many times I had the manager tell people to go to outbound, they were not moving. Even if they were, new people would log in and it would look like a lot were sitting again. So the people watching this were getting on my case all day. I can only do so much, as I am not a manager and cannot tell people to go to outbound. It just makes me feel bad like somehow I should be doing something different, but I know I did everything in my power to get everyone out. So I guess we will see if they even let me fill in anymore. Most days I do ok, and the call spikes are not so bad. With me just getting over being sick, I think that made it worse on me. Im sure everyone reading this is wondering what I am talking about, but I guess I am just venting. Has anyone recently had a bad day at work where they did what they were supposed to do, but still feel like they were useless?

Looking for summer work, I was invited to train and fill in with the employment agency I applied with. All the days I was there were like that. You doubt yourself and your abilities and you just do not feel like it is a good fit. I am empathizing with you at this minute because I have been there, and done that.
