r we netizens?

are we losing our identity on the net? are we becoming citizens of a broader thing? are we becoming netizens?

I certainly think that for some people that could be true. I see a fair part of the worlds population headed in that direction. Especially teenagers and young adults. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

it's good if you notice how barriers have broken down all around the world. but it's bad because among those barriers, the barriers that are intented to protect us are also being broken down.

I agree with that the barriers held back alot of progress and information, that now those that wished to hide in the past now have a much harder time doing so. In as much as that is a good thing it is always harder to hide things that shouldn't be pulic knowledge, which poses as a serious security risk. Also with imformation overload a new breed of zealots and hate mongers are created. Alot of which are created be cause of an over pouring of false information.

That's an interesting term, "netizens". I think you are right about that. A lot of us have an "identity" that permeates all throughout the world wide web. For example, I'm known as Desertdarlene in many circles and I know of a few other people on Mylot who are the same way and use their same username all over.
