Hi everybody! There are so many people who believe that "Do Good ... Have Good". I think one must do good but without the return of good. I would like to add here that sometimes it becomes totally wrong whilst the good deeds become the bad, leaving no reward at all. One of my colleagues recently faced enquiry while assisting other without any malafide intention and now he is disappointing. Do you believe in "Do Good Have Good"? Do you believe that your good deeds are not all in vain and you will sooner or later be rewarded??

I like to do good because it is nice to do good for others! I do things for others all the time and I won’t say that I don’t expect anything in return because the truth is I do; I expect to be treated the same way…. I don’t expect to be rewarded with material items or monetarily I just expect the same courtesy to be extended to me as I have extended to them. I feel that there is a difference in giving and expecting in return! The expectation I talk about is more like an unspoken rule amongst us, you don’t have to say it simply has to be done. Although the reward may not be clear at first, I do believe that all good deeds will be rewarded at some point.

I do agree Liyan that its nice to do so. Yes, you are right that one must be optimistic enough having hope for the best in return so. Seems you have firm believe and that's very inspiring for me. I wish you all the best in life. Nice to have your rich comments.

I do not believe that if you do good, you will necessarily have good. I do believe that if you do good, out of the goodness of your heart, you will feel good. I also believe that people can mistake good intentions for bad, and I have had that happen to me before, and it is disappointing, and it hurts.

I think when people do something,it should be because they really want to and not because they are expecting anything in return.I don't know about being rewarded later. It seems like the the more i give ,the more bad things i have happen to me.

I think if one expects a reward for doing good, then their motivation is wrong, and they will be disappointed. If one does good simply for the sake of doing good, they will never be disappointed. It is sad that sometimes a person who has done good somehow gets punished for it. It should not happen that way, but it does and that is life. In the long run, however, I think a person who does good for goodness sake reaps a reward. At the very least a good reputation. At most, rewards in the eternal life.

I do good deeds because it is helping someone else and I know that if I was in their situation I would want help also. I do not do good deeds to get rewarded. I do them because I like to help others.

I have done much good to so many people that now don't even remember me that I came to peace with the idea that I mustn't wait for any appreciation - it rarely comes.

I do believe God will reward us in heaven. But we must remember we do not make in to heaven for doing good deeds alone. We should do good deeds because we want to help someone. Not because we expect something in return.

I don't think of reward for good deeds as something from someone else. For me the reward is knowing that I have been a blessing to someone. That self-satisfaction is my reward. My purpose, or passion, is to make a positive difference by being a blessing to someone every day. When I manage to do that I feel good. So, while on the one hand I am doing something for someone else while on the other hand I do it for myself. Does that make me selfish?

I am an ordinary man and whenever I do some good to somebody I expect the same treatment towards me also. I stongly believe that all our good deeds will be rewarded may be quite some time later. Thank you aliasad.
