Would you like to meet Bill & Hillary Clinton? A non profit organization with a good cause was selling an opportunity to meet Bill & Hillary Clinton. The vehical for the sale was an Ebay auction. Click the url link below. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130128510495&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D130128510495%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 OOPS... too late. No one would bid the minimum $10,000 even with airfare and hotel room included. I'm surprised, really. What do you think? Is this an indication of Hillary's declining popularity? Why would not some rich supporter of the Clinton's at least bid on this package?

Oh heck no! I would rather get a root canal done the day before a church buffet than to meet Bill and Hillary. I must say that BIll Clinton has to be the most over rated president ever. My problem is that his stupid library is in my state, OH JOY! Let me explain my statement. Bill Clinton never got more than 49% of the vote for president. So all of those people that bash Bush for never getting a majority of the vote should read their history. When Bill Clinton was unfortunately my governor, he was really one of the most ineffective governors that we have had. His first term he raised taxes, surprise, surprise. He got booted out of office by a no name Republican. He only made it back to Little Rock, by a televised apology. His next 4 terms he had to keep fighting off not republicans but dems. All of his re-elections came with challenges from his own party, and they were nasty. Bill Clinton never recieved more than 50% support from his own party. When he became president, a Republican, became governor, lt. governor, and senator. And we all know six out of the eight years of his presidency, the republicans control congress. Opposed to the 8 years of Bush, 6 of his years were controlled by his own party. As for Hillary, her 2 senate races were against no name republicans. Her work as first lady brought on the Republican controlled COngress. 50% of Americans say that they wouldn't even vote for her. I fail to understand why people love the Clinton's so much.

A fellow Arkansawian! Howdy, y'all. I'm not very fond of the Clinton's either. I think he is an elitist sociopath. Books have been written on this subject. They are mostly true. I posted this thread because I think it indicates people are catching on. I'm hoping it might help provoke thought.

Do you remember the thread some time ago about the identify this ugly building contest? I started that. It was a pic of the Clinton Presidential Library I took while in Little Rock on business. That is one ugly building. I could not find the link to that thread, but here is another with a pic of the Library, which is also one I posted. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/566986.aspx

I know a state employee who had to deal with Clinton while he was governor. He does not think much of Bill Clinton. You'd be surprised how many people don't think much of him, especially since he got elected governor here so many times.

The price is a little steep to meet someone who will make an appearance at whatever gathering you're having for much less than that.

maybe for some people it sounded like a scam. It is fairly surprizing they have all this for 10000$ when clinton charges 1000$/10 min to say a speech to graduation students

I agree that $10,000 to include lodging and transportation is pretty cheap to meet a former president and probably a future president at the same time. Maybe not enough people knew about the auction.
