so everyone who knows me, knows i can't stand my mil, well guess wut, she moved out! i can't believe it, i'm so happy, i actually walk around the house, with a smile on my face! So my bil is moving to berkeley to go to college on august 19, and my other bil is not letting us know his plans. he originally moved in with us so he could go to college and now he graduated so i told my husband he needs to learn to be responsible and if he's gonna live here he needs to pay rent! he's not even working right now, and he has a higher level of education than me!do u think i'm being unreasonable, he's occupying one of our rooms!

Well I am happy for you that she has moved out your Life can go to a bit more normal now As for the rent Business, I think you are being very reasonable about it as I would ask for Rent money to and for food

I think you are right. Talk to your husband about having him pay something each month to help out. He could take any job while he is still looking for a job in his field of study.

I am glad she is gone if not for any other reason than you will have your sanity. It sounds like maybe you should do the same to the rest of them.

Yes i think your a little high strung about things right now because you just got rid of your mil,, just because he has a higher education than you dosnt mean its easy to get a job now days.Im also wondering if you like any of you husbands family.

heck no, just his aunts and cousins! his brothers and parents have done us wrong in so many ways that i swear once they're gone i'm not gonna have any kind of relationship with them anymore! but he's occupying one of my rooms has been outta job since may! i think he's use to the luxury of not having responsibilities! he used to work at burger king they said he could go back until he finds a career! i think some job is better than none!

Congrats on your mil moving out. I don't believe you're being unreasonable in expecting your bil to pay rent. He would have to pay rent and more anywhere else. If he has graduated and can't find a job in his field he could work somewhere else till he does. Nothing in life is free so why is he getting free room and board. Good luck.

that's how i feel, he has a guaranteed job at burger king, so he should go back during his job search! i hoping though he moves out all together, since i let them move in 4 1/2 yrs. ago i've had 2 more kids since, so i have plans for that room!
