I'm trying to "get rich quick"! Any advice?

Look, I'm tired of getting up at 5am every day, getting showered, shaving, brushing my teeth and slaving for mere peanuts. Like Elmer J. Fudd, I want to be a millionaire and own a mansion and a yacht. However, I don't want to work for it! A day of work for me should be walking to the mailbox, picking up a check and driving to the bank to deposit it! Heck, even that sounds like work. I'd rather just have it deposited directly to my account. Then I could sleep in, watch cartoons all day, then stay up all night posting discussions on MyLot. Of course I'd be sure to rub it in to all the poor people who still have to slave for a living. I'd tell you all of how I lounged by the pool, drove drunk in my Mercedes and crashed it into another car (or two) then bought the judge off and got away with it. I'd be sure to tell everyone how I founded a charitable organization to feed the hungery in Africa with a portion of my huge fortune...while I was off vacationing in the south of France and hanging out with the other filthy rich tycoons and movie stars. I want to be on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, flauntin my billion-dollar yacht. Does this sound like too much to ask? I'm just trying to get ahead in life. It's not my fault I was born a white guy with no rythm, no athletic or musical ability! I thought about being a rapper, but I can't keep a beat. I can't run, so professonal sports is out. I can act pretty well, but I don't think anyone would pay to see me in a movie...unless my character were tortured hideously and killed-off in the first few minutes of the film! So, my options are fairly limited. What else does that leave? I guess I could get into politics, become President of the United States, invade a smaller country, kill off the inhabitants then pilfer their oil reserves to make billions of dollars. Oh wait; Bush already has that job. Does anyone else have any ideas? I'm listening!

Find a rich woman and marry her. Maybe Paris Hilton. It has worked for other people. So why not you? Make sure you post your progress. LOL.

My advice would be to create (or find) a time machine and pick a point in time where you can pop out of the uterus of a woman who is married to a fabulously wealthy man (with the last name of, say, Vanderbilt, Astor, Trump, Buffet, etc.)
Then you've pretty much got it made, unless you totally screw it up, like Paris Hiltom, or one of Rupert Murdoch's children (he gave her a publishing company to run, and run it she did... right into the ground).
Being born rich is the quickest way to get rich quick... you're wealthy before the doctor even slaps your bottom after popping out of the womb!

As you already told us that you cannot run or be a movie star... that leaves the obvious out.
So you need a brain to invent something that people need... but nobody has thought of it yet. But even then... you will need a few thousand dollars of capital to invest in your project in order to get it off the ground.
The fact that you are telling us that you have to get up at 5AM everyday... and that you work for peanuts... put you at the bottom of the ladder. And unless you start using your brain... you will stay there for the rest of your life.
The reality is... that to become a simple millionnaire... you need to work 20 years... while earning $70.000 a year.
This is providing that you buy a house instead of paying rent... and possibly buy a second house for investment 10 years after buying the first one.
It is also providing that you don't get divorce and lose half of everything in the process. Keep also in mind that children are very expensive. Each child can cost you as much as a house.
So unless you can invent something...
Start studying to get yourself a high paid job.
Once you have it... find a wife with a good job... who is not interested to have children... or at least... not straight away.
And you should have it made.
Life is only easy for those who have a brain and know how to use it. Those who work with their hands rather than their brain are making money for those with a brain.
The guy who invented myLot is earning $100.000 a week while we do all the work for him. Without us typing our little fingers to oblivion... he would not earn a cent. But he used his brain to come up with the idea.
Just like Yahoo who invented the first search engine. And Bill Gates who thought about putting a computer in every home. It all sound very simple... but you need to think about it.

Hey you sound just like me! Hehe I think everyone wants that for themselves. Unfortunately most get-rich-quick schemes are scams. Getting rich really requires a lifetime of financial intelligence. So it's important to learn all about money, how it works, and how to make it work for you so you won't have to work for it. It takes a lot of patience and determination, but the freedom that wealth will give you is well worth it. I have made that commitment for myself. I will take that path.

I am sure there are these things in your area. They call them banks. If you are unfortunate enough to have a local branch, then you should drive to the nearest McDonald's (probably a couple of blocks). If you are unfamiliar look for the golden arches.
It is kind of like following a rainbow for a pot of gold.
Now that you are there get out of your car and stand on the hood. You should be able to spot one with ease. Since you have a found your target, you should perform a stake out.
Then take advantage of an opportune time. They have lots of money in there. I am sure it is more than enough to get you rich very fast.

You are going to make your fortune just tap tap tapping away at these little keys to make a mint on myLot. I will not be listening to all of your exploits, as I will be on a cruise around the world. Not sports, entertainment or politics will ever produce enough money for me. Maybe you should be a pundit--no talent needed, just opinions. LOL Opinions are a dime a dozen.

Oh my, you are back and in action. Speaking of action my daughter and I think you would best be a boytoy. You would make awesome money and if you were any good, well kept. Then you would be accessing the yacht and goodies without having to own them. You would become well traveled and meet those politicians and movie stars anyway. Kind of in the crowd yet apart and accomplishing the goal. That kind of work is out there, just now well known. At least by the general population. Daughter and I would be able to say we knew chunkers when. Good luck in whatever you end up doing.

Well you don`t want to work but you want to get rich.MOre than millions would be wanting same.I think you should
1.Rob a Bank
2.Lottery
3.Invest in booming property and then sell and buy again in vicious circle.
4.Verbal skill is most important today that can make you a leader anywhere.So,if you can influence people by your speech Go be a President.
5.Go to the acting industry if you have a face that can make billions go crazy and you have the acting talent.
I think they are the fastest way to get fame,acknowledgement and money obviously.

My dear friend all what you hqve written is anyones dream,and will continue to remain a dream unless you act and change it into reality.America is the promised land where people haveknown to come from all parts of the world to realise their dreams.And George Bush did not do it by just playing golf and eating pretzels. There is a lot of unseen hard work behind it. On reaching that level he is in a position to dictate terms to others and safe guard you from want and protect your livelyhood while he relaxes on his ranch as and when he feels the need for it.If you are not happy in the US.come to India and see the life and the people and poverty The living HELL we talk about in the bible for the masses.Promised land for a select priveleged few. I am willing to leave India at short notice if invited to the US. Maybe we can dream together and strive to make our dreams work.

making the big money is really quite simple ,life is only easy for these who have a brain and know how to use it .these work with their hands rather than their brain are makin money for those with a brain. just takes a business mind with a business plan with the right tools and products that everyone needs .once u have it ,u may find a wife with a good job ,u should have it made .i think everyone want to that for themselves .unforthunately most get rich quick schemes are scams .getting rich really requires a lifetime of financial intellingence.u may have to work for it ,u can get more money of it .

The easy way most people i know that wanna get rich quick is by becoming a rapper and getting a record deal lol it's not really doing any thing it is just writing a spit lyric lol. But, try it if you only know how to rap lol.

Its nice to see your poor A$$ again. I am going to keep an eye on this discussion and see if you get some good ideas I can steal. I see stuff in cyberspace all the time about getting rich quick, I don't thing any of it works. Well I am off to lounge by the pool all day, I will be sipping a margaritta. Happy weekend to you.....

I wish.....I ahve a similar list did you find any good ideas. I do not want to be a billionaire and will be just satisfied with a million dollars thats it. Not too greedy I am. Try robbery -all the gvoernments are in any case doing that so oen more person wont make a difference to general population
and who is as it is trained to give up a major chunk of their income to abstract group of people called tax collectors. Plus point is it is tax free too.

I don't know, Chunkers but if you find out let me know, I would certainly loveeeeeee to have that lifestyle too. Oh wait a minute I do partially have that kind of lifestyle..well the lounging around part, I'm retired. It's the filthy rich part that I am missing. Well it sure would be nice, let us know if you wake up from this dream.
