Terror at 300 feet!!

Whilst on vacation up in Calgary Canada I went on the latest greatest thrill ride they have set up there. It's a zipline ride from the top of the 90 meter ski-jump to the ground travelling at speeds of almost 140km/hr. The descent is about 300ft and has the effect of thrusting your privates up into your chest area. The worst part is going from 140 to 0 in the blink of an eye. I have attached a pic of myself coming to the end in the specified brake position...very unflattering.

Have you ever tried the alpine-geister thrill ride at Busch Gardens? One of my sandles flew off and is nowarchived in the south end of the ride!

At Hersheypark, they have a rollercoaster called Storm Runner. It's a hydraulic launch that goes straight up and down 18 stories. I get queasy just watching it. No one could ever pay me enough to ride it. I'll stick to the Tilt-a-Whirl.

At $50 a time, I'm happy to go just once. I'm terrified of heights so it was a pretty big deal for me to do it

Okay, if I tried this thrill ride, one of two things would happen. Either a certain orifice of my body would slam shut and not reopen for weeks, leaving me at risk of implosion from backed up waste product; or the park would be shut down for the afternoon while the groundskeepers took to the job of cleaning mounds of my excrement from the grounds!!! That just looks too frightning for me! Now there would have been a day, some 30 years ago, when I would have probably loved to take that ride...but not today! Glad you enjoyed it!

the tattoo turned out great...a couple of spots that'll need to be touched up (very poor lighting at the convention). I'll post a healed pic ASAP

You are very brave. I hope the drs managed to retrieve your privates for you (and the missus!) Did everybody else run away when it was your turn as there don't seem to be any other people in the photo? I hope you did not go so fast that you out ran your tattoos!!!

everyone moved when they saw me coming...a 6'2 220lb guy coming at you at 100km/h can be pretty intimidating

More power to ya. I'm chicken sh*t of any type of thrill ride. Plus I'm scared of heights. But I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
