GRACE .. Wherein Does It Lie ?

Most of us speak about the grace of God or the grace of great men who have rendered help and assistance to you in times of dire necessities . GRACE ... Is it helpfulness or blessing from the unknown OR from your fellowmen ?

I think grace is the help that comes from the deciding / approving authority, if we ask for it. But if it is available without our asking, then it is certainly the case of blessings! The authority may be our superiors or fellowmen or God. More particularly, from God grace is assumed always as blessings. Thanks.

Grace is undeserved merit or favor. It can be bestowed on you by your fellowman. It also can be and actually is extended to you by God. Not from an unknown. I guess the way you are looking at it, grace and luck might be the same thing.

I personally think that grace comes from God. Be it big or small, it is a blessing. When someone renders help to anyone in times of need, i believe that this person is blessed to have been chosen. If we think about it, helpfulness is not the norm for human beings. And it shows because people are so self centred and self indulgent. Nothing else matters except that which is to their own advantage. A good example would be, one of my post. There were a few people, who like me needed help to personalise our profiles. But no matter how many thousands of people are on mylot everyday, nobody seemed to care. In a nutshell, grace is given by God to the chosen one. This person, in turn, will then spread this blessing. God knows best. - Lyn

EVERY good and perfect thing comes from the Lord. Though he may use others to be a blessing, at the end of the day, the glory belongs to the Lord.

To my understanding, sukumar, Grace is a kindness received through no works on your own behalf. It is a gift, freely given, and cannot be earned.
