I like to eat them just plain. I also like them sauteed (not sure if that is spelled right). I love mushrooms too but I'm the only one in our household that eats them.

Hi there. I like to fry mushrooms, garlic and onion together in butter until they brown, I add 100 mls of milk, and 150 mls of cream, salt and pepper, I stir this mix for about 10 minutes on medium heat, making sure nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan, I add a teaspoon of corn flour to help it thicken, let it cook for an extra 5 minutes continuously stirring, then I take it off the heat, I pour this over a tender, well cooked bit of steak or weiners snitzel...

I love mushroom,in my town we can have the dried or the fresh mushroom. Most of the time I will buy the dried shitakee because I just love the smell of them. Either the fresh nor the dried mushroom will goes well with my soup or stir fry cooking style. Most of the time, I will add the chicken into the cooking...We use shallot, ginger, and garlic to cook them. For the can button mushroom, the taste is a bit different as it is been soak with some water while in the can.

Stuffed mushrooms - This is a pic of the second recipe..
hiya there! I am a muchroom fanatic! lol lol! i put mushrooms on almost everything i make..from eggs to lasagna and steaks and chicken...one of my fav things to do is stuff them with cream cheese..just take the stems out of them..heat over 350//make sure theres a nice clean hole where the stem was..use knife to clean it if u want.,i do..then stuff them with cream chhese anc cook til cheese is melted..they are awesome for appetizers!! And for thise who like a bit more jazz in there stuffed mushrooms..this is a recipe i got...its very good..but i usually just go with the first one wrote lol.. Ingrediants 12 whole fresh mushrooms 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Carefully break off stems. Chop stems extremely fine, discarding tough end of stems. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and chopped mushroom stems to the skillet. Fry until any moisture has disappeared, taking care not to burn garlic. Set aside to cool. When garlic and mushroom mixture is no longer hot, stir in cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, onion powder and cayenne pepper. Mixture should be very thick. Using a little spoon, fill each mushroom cap with a generous amount of stuffing. Arrange the mushroom caps on prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the mushrooms are piping hot and liquid starts to form under caps.

I like them fried in olive oil or soft margarine as an accompaniment to beef, either hamburger or steak. I also like them added to stews, or in spaghetti sauce. I sometimes fry them along with onions and corn and have them for a snack. I do not do that very often and I have not bought mushrooms for a while. I do not like mushroom soup, not even when it is added to casseroles. I guess I am not fond of cream sauce and I would rather buy them fresh then get them in a can. I used to do Chinese and got those dried mushrooms to use in stir fries but that was when I lived in Vancouver.

I love mushrooms also, fab, but I mainly eat them on pizza, in spaghetti, on hamburgers, with roast and gravy, and sometimes I will put them in my meatloaf. They are delicious. I have seen them cooked in a cream sauce on cooking shows but never tried them this way.

I like them a lot of different ways. Raw is good. Also just marinated is really tasty. I put them in a lot of things I cook, I grill them brushed with olive oil and garlic. I brush them with olive oil and sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder on em then wrap them with prosciutto and roast them... I use portabellos to make mini crustless pizzas.

I love mushrooms too, I use them most of time when I cook. But they taste really great when you cover them with some garlic or cheese and wrap them in foil. And then put them on the bbq for a short while. Yummie
