Help! How to remove stains from sofa?

My kids have just left some white board marker stains on my fabric sofa. I would like to have some suggestions on how to remove these stains. Any input would be greatly appreciated,thank you :)

Kerosene, pure petrol can dissolve most stains, so apply sufficient quantity, leave for some time, next apply blotting paper to soak excess, am sure stain will go, by the way, this discussion is 5 yrs old, the work must be over.. Thanks for sharing Best of luck. Professor
