I'm tired of the whole Beckham thing

First off, let me admit that I am a huge soccer fan, have been since I was a wee boy and I thought that Beckham coming to the US might give the sport a much needed boost. I just forgot how much Americans love celebrity more than anything else. Every other TV ad on ESPN has him on there now and they are doing a 3 hour show before his first game on the weekend. What the heck are they going to talk about for 3 hours...but the capper on the whole thing is the amount of press his wife, posh spice, is getting...what a talentless hack..the only good thing about her is that when she turns sideways you can't see her anymore...hopefully after Saturday all the fuss will die down

Tell me about it. They are thousands of miles away now but we have programmes on the silly cow and now one starting about him. I honestly thought we had got rid of the idiots, but alas I was wrong. Over here though they have predicted their downfall because they are imposing themselves too much and not stepping back and gradually hitting the limelight. Posh will have her 5 mins of fame and then be ignored, I hope. As for squeaky balls Beckham, he is just a joke. I am so glad they are not here anymore and as I do have an evil streak in me I look forward to their downfall. Talentless, over the hill wannabes is all they are. You can keep them America!!hee hee

Being a Brit, I'm glad we got rid of Beckham out of our spotlight, got bored of him the first time I ever saw of him. We had to put up with him for years. So be sorry for me. lol

I have to agree and am tired of seeing the Beckham's get more attention than other people in sports. There are many talented players that deserve some attention. The only good thing is her new show didn't do well in the ratings, so maybe people are getting tired of seeing her on television. I sure hope after Saturday the press will go back to reporting in a better way.

Glad to hear that...I can't even believe she got a show in the first place. Hoe does being a horrible singer make you a fashion expert?

I am already sick of seeing his wife splashed all over the net and tv and their realty show hasn't even started yet. Really who cares. I kinda hope it tanks. Is that bad?

I secong your opinion. I am so sick of the media covering the Beckhams. I hope that David Beckham actually does something for the good of Soccer in the U.S. instead of using all this publicity to his own good.
