Has anyone seen Hairspray?

I haven't seen it yet but I really want to. I think it looks like a really fun movie, especially since John Travolta is playing a woman! I will probably have to wait until it comes out on DVD though. I doubt I'll be able to convince my husband to go.

Doubt anyone has yet, because it opens tonight. I did see the sneek peeks on Conan O Brien though and it looked hilarious. I was unsure about having a new one, because I love the old one with Ricki Lake, but John Travolta as a fat WOMAN... its just tooooo crazy not to see at least once. Which I think was their premise for having a man do that part... and a big name one at that...

Ok, I feel like a total idiot now! I guess I thought it had opened earlier this week. Thanks for the info! Let me know if you get a chance to see it.

I haven't see the newly realsed version of Hairspray, but I would love to. I loved the orignal, its one of my favorite movies. :) I'll probably have to wait for it to come on one of the movie channels myself. lol But that is okay.

I plan to see it with my kids once I have some time during the week when I am off. From what I can tell, it is quite impressive and my kids even talked about seeing it, so I would like to take them out to see it and take them to eat afterwards.

It was great and left me in stitches. My sister and I went and there were times we almost cried, laughing!

I saw it last week and thought it was great, much better than the first one was.

No I haven't but I think it looks good. They say that it is a modern day Grease and that was and still is one of my all time favorite movies.

If you remember the original movie, the late Divine played the mother(and he was male dressed in drag); I am looking to see the movie with my kids though or wait until it hits dvd or both. I sure would like to see it.

I haven't seen it yet, but you're right, it does look like a good movie. I've never seen the original either, so I'm thinking maybe I should rent that one to get an overall feel of what it will be like.
