We are all aware that our president has been signing a rash of executive orders recently. Well, I just found out about the latest last night. It seems that on July 17th he signed the latest granting the government power to seize the assets(property) of anyone who it deems as being to vocal in their protests of the Iraq War. This is not going to sit well with most people once the news gets out. What are your feelings?

What is meant by being too vocal? There goes another right of the people...freedom of speech. Socialism is just around the corner. Hiel Bush!

Sorry for butting in here folks but I think I see a recurring theme - I think the word socialism is used differently in other countries than it is here, socialism here is about caring and respecting every member of society to me the word communism or facism where everyone is told what they can and cannot do is more appropriate, socialism is about respecting other peoples freedom and rights! xxx

I guess, sigma, it means that we'd better watch what we say regarding the war. This threat is guaranteed to shut up some who don't wish to give up their assets. I don't know what the next order will be, but I'm sure ther are more to come.

I get the feeling that the boy is going to decide not to allow elections, since you are at war. Apparently, he can do that, and nothing can be done about it. The man is not totally sane. He should have been impeached long ago, ABOUT THE TIME HE WITHHELD HEALTH CARE MONEY FROM ANY STATE THAT REFUSED TO RAISE THE DRINKING AGE TO 21 BECAUSE HIS BRATS GOT DRUNK IN PUBLIC

I do think that he has taken executive privilege to a whole new level. America is beginning to look less and less like the Land of the Free.

Itnever was the land of the free. It only ever was the land of the free, white, male, and over 21. That's who the constitution was written for.

Good grief! What's next? I'm bound to be in hot water with him anyway, since I'm horribly upset about so much he's done, is doing, and will probably do next. That news sure doesn't sit well with me, nor is it going to sit well with most people I know. Who does he think he is anyway? If he's not impeached for all these outrageous things he's doing, I've lost all faith in my fellow citizens. Pretty soon we won't even have any rights left. His "approval rating" can't get any lower with me, or can it?

I don't know if his approval rating could go any lower, claudia, but if this was any other president I believe he would have been removed from office before now. I"m afraid there are more surprises yet to come.

I know that I am not American and it does not affect me but surely this is a fundamental breach of your constitution! The United States of America is a democracy and this is yet another reason that not just American citizens but people around the globe are worried that such a man is in control of such a powerful country - surely this is a basis for impeachment? xxx

Well, it goes something like this, mummymo. These things are usually done in virtual secrecy. They figure that by the time the news does leak out, nobody will bother to protest it. the same thing happened with the Dubai Ports deal, and with the Illegal Immigration deal. Luckily, we have other sources to depend upon to get our news other than through the mainstream media. That is why I am such a fan of late night talk radio. You hear about things that you never would otherwise.

He's probably just doing this in order to make up for the fact that he had 5 polyps during his latest colonoscopy. =P

Just another step towards dictatorship, in my opinion. But we are nuts because we keep up with this stuff, you know that don't you? Bah, sometimes I could just smack people for ignoring this stuff and pretending that it isn't happening. Thank you for being another voice for truth. Shannon
