What would make you decide to change churches?

if you were attending a church what would be a reason you would leave that church, other than moving? Would you leave because of other people even if the preacher was preaching the way you believed to be correct?

I would leave a church if it no longer was preaching God's word and not adhering to the Bible. Also if a person sins and repents, the Church and its members should forgive and not hold the sin against the person. I left my former church because of that, and the one before that because they figured God needed help and you had to be perfect before you came a member. I have no intention of leaving my present church as the pastor preaches the word of God. God is making me perfect.

The pastor is preaching right but I feel like the kids there are having more influence on my kids than they should have in a negative way. And I believe that my kids need to find new friends. Also when I told my kids we were all going to start taking notes at church, So that we could retain better what the pastor said, the two oldest rebelled and said I was being unreasonable and that I was mean and that no one else does. And I even set up the notebooks I even included their dad and myself so it was not like it was me asking them to do something I was not planning to also do myself. All I asked them to do was one write down what the Sunday school lesson was, then I told them to write down what did I learn from this, then three I told them to write down how it could be applied to their lives. Then I fixed a space to write down any memory verse, (the referance) and on a separate page I wrote out the verses, and told them that they would have to copy these verses three times each, (this to help the practice handwriting, spelling and to remember their verses) Then lastly I fixed a space for them to write down any prayer requests. I do not feel that this is being unreasonable do you?? I am actually thinking this would help them to learn how to be able to take batter notes later on, plus would help them to remember what was preached. As for being perfect I don't believe I could ever reach that, not in this life. I believe Jesus Christ was the only one that ever walked the face of the earth that was perfect. Anyway, thanks for responding to me I appreciate it. And I am glad you have a church home you are comfortable with.

Maybe i would leave the church if i'm not growing spiritually at all. If the preaching is against what is written in the Holy Bible. But I would not leave the church i'm attending.... For I believe wherever church we will attend to, church structures or buildings would nothing to do with us.. We ourselves are church.. So, we can't change God, but we can change ourselves through God's mercy and love.

I love my church and It has been through a lot this last 2 years. The only reason I would leave it would be because it has stopped being God centered. That is teaching the bible and the whole bible. Churches are to be places to worship God. They are managed by people and sometimes that can be a problem. but if they continued to worship the Lord and keep his word I would not leave unless I moved.

What would make me decide to change a church would be because I don't agree with what the preacher is saying and preaching. Or the things that the church is doing.

There are only two reasons I can think of what make me thinking to change church. 1. moving away from the place you live 2. The message from paster no longer make me feel I got feed or grow in spirturally

1. if they started charging for seating 2. If they started using a book other than the Bible 3. If the service was 20 hours long.....every day 4. if they charged for parking

good question? i have been to many diffeent churches and faiths and have always come back to the religion i was raised in..but i still miss a lot of sundays..four so far? and when i go back i wish people whould just say nothing but instead they will say "were you sick?" "what was wrong?" "so how come you missed?" well, i don't want to come..i had some stuff that i wanted to do like goof off and sleep until i was done sleeping..instead i just tell them the devil made me do it..and said i wanted to come but the devil had blinded me to filthy lucre and my wife attacked me in the worst way...lol..so i just miss more sundays..as i do not believe we should be obligated to go//we should WANT to go..no Holy Days of Obligation for me...sorry to vent..have a blessed Sunday..and give a fin for me?
