I am part of a team trying to plan a really special baby shower. I have been on so many websites looking for ideas and everything I read is not very unique.
I am looking for anything at all...... gift ideas, games, cakes....... anything that you feel was really cute and went over well at the shower.
Even if you think your idea is not unique please share it anyway. There might be something about it that I haven't heard of before.
Thanks.

I am pretty sure we play all the normal boring games-
Take a bunch of baby food – rip off the labels and ask what they are- no taste only by looking-
Crete paper- cut off as much to go around expecting moms belly
I think my favorite- is the diaper one- You have 5 or 6 diapers- and you melt candy bars in them (to look like poop) pass them around the person with the most correct wins- snickers- hersheys with almonds- etc. it’s pretty gross to look at but a fun game-

I just gave a baby shower for my neice and we did a game that was hilarious. You put like 50 small saftely pins in a bowl of rice and they have to pick out the pins.....we laughted until we cried. They have to be blindfolded though.....you should see the pics!

Something I have not tried, as it does not fit the showers I participate in, but looks cute in the magazines where I see it, is a fake "Cake" made up of gift items rolled and stacked, with a special toy, or lamp or something on top. I see it featured once or twice a year in magazines. The current issue of Woman's World magazine has it, the issue is dated July 31, 2007, and should be at your local Grocery, Dollar Store, and Wal Mart now. Another cute idea involves one to three helium balloons tied to a special basket, so that it looks like a hot air balloon, and then filling the basket with a flower arrangement, baby care items, special toys, mom centered luxuries, like body wash and lotioin. This fits with a decorating theme of balloons. Have a wonderful lot of fun.
