Installing granite countertops

I am looking for any and all information you would like to give me about having granite countertops brought into my home. Such things I am looking for are ways that I need to be sure the stone was treated. The best place to find better prices....... anything, anything at all. I am completely open to learning from anyone with experience. Oh, and would marble be better?

No, not marble, that stains and chips...We went caesar stone bechtops, its the strongest natural material..youcould try and carve it, and it would blunt your knife, my brother had marble and he said never again because of the chipping and staining..

Thanks for the marble warning. I saw it in a spec house recently and it was sure beautiful. I'll do research on the caesar stone thanks.

That is what I thought I knew about marble. I don't even know what caesar stone is.

Hi, I am going to respond, but I do not have information, only similar curiosity. I bet you get your new counter tops before I get mine, though. I am here through my e-mail, and I can hardly wait for the real discussion to pop up after I post.
