I want to thank everyone who responded to my last discussion about my new kitty. :) I think I have decided on a name for her... Jemimah!! Jem for short. I have no idea why I chose that one, but I did. And to keep this in the rules and all... let's discuss how adorable cats are.

I remember when we got our cat Tia - it was 8 years ago now and she was only 6 weeks old! Some horrible ...well lets give them the benefit of the doubt and call them a person - had left her and her brother and sister in a bin liner and abandoned them! She was so cute - a little ball of fur that could fit in your pocket! I hope you have many happy years with Jem - I am sure she is adorable and I love the name! xxx

That is so sad. I cannot understand how people can abandoned and abuse animals like that.

I love cats I still think about some of mine. I don't have any but my best friend and her husband do and they are living where I live except they live upstairs. I went out doors late this afternoon with my niece to see the cats. They have one that is a oranged tabby cat. They named him Garfield. He's a pretty sweet kitten.

I love the name you have chosen. Jememiah is a very cute name. I will have no trouble keeping to the rules of discussing how adorable cats are. I have had one or more cats since the age of 6 years. One fluffy cat I had was particulary adorable. His namewas Sam, & he loved my Father. Every day, at exactly 4.00pm, he would stroll down near the back gate & wait for my Father to come home from work. He would then jump in his arms & cuddle my Father as he walked in the gate. He did this without fail for many years.

Oh Jemimah is a lovely name - it's really pretty and I'm sure it suits her well. As for how cute cats are......... well, I have 6, so I guess that proves i think they are very cute:-)) They are clever, clean, fun to watch when they are playing, loving, cuddly, totally pretty, and completely adorable! Welcome Jemimah:-))

I still think it still sux that you have to pay a fee for the privilege of having a kitty as I mentioned in your other discussion...but I could never imagine being without a furball myself--I've had cats ever since I was five and a half years old...I've NEVER been without kitties. And I love the name of your kitty..Here's one of my cats now...this is Pyewacket..the obvious inspiration for my user name, and you just better believe he is the boss of the dwelling

Some names come on the spur of the moment and we just can explain why, but just give them. Congratulations once again.

My pretty baby - Maya, my sweet kitty girl.
I love cats! Can you show us a picture of Miss Jemimah? Does she sleep with you? My cat is the love of my life. She is such a sweetie girl and brings me such joy. I hope yours does the same for you. My cat pushes me off my pillow and settles down for a good nap like the little princess she is.

I looked at that discussion about naming your cat and you said you had changed her name to Roxy, is that true? Just wanting to know is all! I wish I could open an animal shelter one day because I really feel their are way too many animals without homes sadly.

3 name changes in one day ... yikes! LoL. I do like the name Bailey, that is cute too! See, I wouldn't be any better at naming the poor thing because so far I have liked 2 of the 3 names lol. Glad you finally got a name that will stick so the poor kitty doesn't get any more confusion lol.

Yes, that is true. But then I changed it again to Bailey because we learned that was her name at the shelter and it was cute and we thought it was fitting too. So Bailey it is. Poor thing had her name changed 3 times today!

I enjoyed seeing the photo of your lovely new cat. I think the name Jemimah is a great choice. Jem for short sounds quite adorable. How is she settling into your home? My mum always gives her animals names based on what they look like. He two current cats are called Tiger and Fluffy. One has stripes and the other is long coated. I really love cats.

Well... nobody else liked the name so I chose Roxy. Then we learned her name before was Bailey and decided to leave it at that because it was really cute and fit her well. So she is now Bailey officially. lol.

I have read the first discussion, and Jemimah is a nice name!!! I consider cats as elegant gentlemen, they looks casually any time.Sometimes they are cute but sometimes they shows their "fighter" gene especially when they preying.

Once upon a time I hated cats, then the day came one adopted me and I end up with his two sons’ and now his grand daughter. So I am convinced, cats are cool.

Cute cats & adorable? Sorry you are now bringing out the canine in me. If I told you what I really thought about the feline specis you would never look at my discussions again, so to be fair to the little darlings, yes of course they are cute. I think having one in the house is fine, but you have to show it who is the boss - always the cat. Dogs get 3 meals a day, taken for walks, and have a roof over their heads - they think humans are gods. Cats get 3 meals a day, go for walks when they want and have a roof over their head - they think they are god. Enjoy your cat.

My cat's name is On-U. Lol. On-U Lapi. What a stoner name. Hehe. He's actually my boyfriend's cat but now that we live together he's my cat too. He's so smart and he is just the sweetest. Also, he's like the biggest cat I've ever seen. He's a descendant of the linx. He's so beautiful.

Thanks a lot for giving an anilmal a home. More people should do what they can. Including me. I like mostly all pets. I've never had a cat, but they are great. Marvelous personalities. A freind of mine had a cat, Agamemnon, who used to lick my underarms as I slept. Now, tell me what in the world could be in deodorant that entices a cat?
