Today I spent the day in Adel Iowa for the Sweet Corn festival. They made over 8 tons of corn!!! It was so tasty. When my son in law was home in July he made it on the grill and I didn't care for it at all. Do you have a special technique for doing your sweet corn? I have heard of some that put sugar in it to make if more flavorful.

when the corn is newly harvested i just boil it with a little salt. its so yummy. i also make it into corn soup 1 cup corn kernel 1 cup oyster mushroom 1/2 cup ground pork soup stock salt and pepper to taste 1 clove garlic minced 1 small onion chopped oil saute garlic and onion in oil. add pork. cook until color changes to light brown stir in corn and let stay for 2 minutes add soup stock or chicken cube let boil until corn is cooked add mushroom and season to taste

I do boil it on the stove in a pot of salted water, and add suger to sure it will be sweet. I also BBQ mine on the grill. I cook it a little the night before in salted, sugared water. I then let it cool a bit. I butter each ear of corn, and wrap it in foil. I then cook it on the grill the next day. It is a family favorite. I hear some people cook it in the microwave with the husk on. I have not tried this, but am thinking about it. Just to see what it taste like.

He didn't cook it at all before putting it on the grill and it was kinda nasty...If it comes up again I am going to suggest they do that! Thanks so much for the info.
