I read the book while I was in high school and I really liked it. I had heard a lot about it, before I read it and it was different from what I expected, but I think it is a really good book. It is a bit like a Chinese box or a matryoshka doll, because there is a story inside the story etc. First there is the story about the girl who gets the letter from the philosopher. When I read it for the first time I thought that the story about the letters was the only story in the book, and I was really suropriced when I discovered that the girl was actually a character in a book that another girl was reading. So I am reading about a girl who is reading about another girl. It makes me wonder who is reading about me I love the way that the story is created, and I wish I were able to write a story like that.

this is the best book i ever read, maybe. (the dancing woo li masters was really good too. it turned me onto physics, a whole new world to me at the time, and i incorperate it into my philosophy of life now.) however it got torn apart and thrown away! lol. but it was so weird! actually, i don't understand the book. and to say it is the best book i ever read, is to be like a kid who thinks the shapes of some mathmatical equation are pretty. the only, and really main thing it did was make me wonder. it was actually kind of spooky, as the book went in and out of this different reality and stuff. lol. but actually, as my life has progressed a long time after reading it, i am finding that reality is being different than it used to. so where i got this idea who knows. and also, i have found a couple mentor like people who have a type of knowledge or perspective that really inspires me. just like that philosopher that kept writing the girl. and to have someone or something that you like, even multiple, you find a little bit of your own preferences.
