posting on my lot
I've lost my motivation for posting on My Lot!

Just two months ago, I was a regular power poster on My Lot. Some days I could post up to 50 discussions daily. And there were days when I responded to at least 75 discussions. But, somewhere along the way, I lost my motivation. Maybe it happened when I started listening to all the negative comments people made about posting on My lot. How can you possibly keep up your good spirits when everyone around you feels bad. Or, maybe I just ran out of time. I'm not sure.
All I know is that I'm lucky if I can find time to post five or ten discussions daily. And, for some reason I can't seem to find the energy to respond to discussions either. I just don't feel motivated anymore. And, I don't know why. Has that ever happened to you before? Have you ever lost your motivation to post on My Lot? Any tips for getting the motivation back?

I just try to skim over most of the negative posts. I remember when you were posting everyday. I think it is a matter of looking for the good in things, which is a challenge when people are so upset about some things. I feel like we are getting payed to make friends here so I am happy with the few cents I get each day. I hope you dont give up on us compleatley.

Thank you so much for saying so! You are very encouraging. I just let some of the negativity on this place get to me. I don't thrive well on negativity. Very demotivating! Be well. Thanks for dropping by.

I don't know where you ever found the time to do that many discussions in the first place!! I feel like I've had a pretty good day if I respond to 20 or more discussions. Between taking care of my son, my pets, my husband and my house, I have a hard time getting much of anything done on mylot most days. I guess it might be because I have other things I do online that pay better. I don't know.
As far as motivation goes, there are times that I just have to get offline for a while and just chill and watch TV or hang out with my son, if he is awake. Sometimes I just can't find anything that I want to respond to. Usually I only have one or maybe two of those days in a row, and then I can find a few discussions to respond to again. If I was trying to do 75, I sure wouldn't be able to, though!!

The minute I find a better paying gig online, I'm out of here! LOL! Really, though, I've tried for three years and this is literally the only paying thing online, other than my online surveys that I do. And, that only pays $60 monthly. Just enough to pay my car insurance bill. I do make some money with my affiliate programs, but it's slow going some months.

I was actualy feeling the same yesterdaay and I can't believe myself because I am a self confessed mylot addict.
I was browsing the topics and I can't find myself to response to as many as I am doing before..
i don't know if it's a lost of motivation or maybe lost of interesting topics to respond to.

I feel the same way, dear friend. I was very active in Mylot. Since Mylot pays less than before, and I think it is a little wasting time to earn such a little bit money but I have to spend longer time here. I also found the some people are leaving Mylot, too. I hope Mylot will pay a little bit higher and then it may attract people to come back.

It is very discouraging! And, you are so right, the money is much less now. First month I made $67.00. Second month I made only $15.00. This past month only $12.00. Very, very discouraging!

Don't worry about it. It's a normal thing that sometimes happen . I was like you before and at times I don't feel like posting topics or joining in discussions. It will come back don't worry about it.

Yeah I feel that way several times. That's usual to happen specially if there are no more interesting topics posted and almost all the topics in myLot I have already been in to. So I usually dig deeper. Like if there are topics that interest me, I research. *LOL*
Plus of course, I try to start my own. I look around and look for topics that would be of interest to majority.
If you feel this way, rest it out for a few days. Sooner or later you'll miss doing it. I mean, habits are hard to break. Sooner or later you'll feel the need to type again. *LOL*
Just don't force yourself to post if you don't really want to. You'll know sooner or later if you're made for myLot or are you just in it for a little extra. *LOL*
Like me the other day. I wasn't really posting much, because I was bored. But I used myLot to look for cool stuff online. Like movies. I ended up going through discussions and looking for titles of movies I could watch online. Alas! I found a lot. So after I watched the movie, I'd comment on how I rated it on mylot. *LOL* It's cool.

I never really had a lot of motivation to post to mylot. I just do it as something to do. Maybe you'll feel more motivated if you give yourself a bit of a break for a couple of days -then when you come back, all of the discussions will be fresh and new.

I am the same but it is due to the fact that there are so many negative things going on in my own life that i jsut dont have the enrgy for soemthing else. I used to post alot - maybe not discussions f my own, but I responded alot. In 2 months I have not even reached payout and that has never happened before. but i do not let it get to me, i post as much as i feel like and I am sure that the motivation will find its way back to me - and to you =)

Yes I have lost my motivation to post a lot on mylot. I do like mylot don't get me wrong. But they pay very little money and they do not pay enough for my time.
If they did then I would work alot more on here. I see it as a fun place to find money making programs.. and a place to make easy cash on the side.

I think the low pay is a big problem right now. It seems to me that the pay is so small right now that a lot of us are not making any money and I think that several others are leaving mylot or not being as active as they once were.

I have difficulty finding the time to respond to more than about 10-15 discussions a day, and I seldom post any, not that that seems to be much of a loss to Mylot discussions as very few people bother to read them anyway. I would think it would be quite difficult to find enough topics to start 50 discussions every day, I find it difficult to find 50 in total in the 9 months I've been here.
I also have great difficylty finding enough time to spend here as well.

Hi.
In the last few days this is third time i am responding to such a discussion and I myself feel drifted to the same kind of ill feeling about myot. The amount of time you have to devote here on mylot is hard to find out in the busy schedule that we are leading now a days. If you want to motivate yourself make it more active like talk to your friends a lot more.

Some breaking work or involvement in some problems of life causes to decrease the motyvation. Hard or hot weather may also cause to suffer your motivation. If you need to share your problem on world wide basis then think it is best place to stay here. Here you will feel a sort of peace and you will feel no lonely here. Spare yourself to enjoy the my lot, this will regain the motyvation.

I can understand your feeling of being jaded sometimes, especially since you are posting so much compared to many others here. It is not easy to keep up the motivation to attain a consistent level of high postings. As in other things where people get a little tired after some time, it is advisable to take a little break and recharge before moving on at full speed again. Take it easy in between, and you may get your motivation back.

Hi beautyqueen dont worry friend. It sometimes happens.Ofcourse i new to this discussion site, till now i did not face anything like that.Sometimes we go down becoz of our surroundings.Again if someone motivates us we again go on our way as usual. But slowly we have to motivate ourself to overcome the situation. It takes time,so wait for that.No problem try try again till u reach the goal. All the best.
You have so many mylot friends,so why u are losing your motivation queen.

I never considered myself to be a power poster, but there was a time when I tried to post at least 50 per day. A lot of my friends no longer post here and many have been banned for one reason or another.

the same thing happened to me, my interest on mylot was completely lost, nobody responded to my discussions, the thing is that mylot pays very less, if it would pay atleat 3 cent per post it would have been better

I get a little burned out on myLot occasionally too. Sometimes I just have to get away from it and do something seriously creative just to get my mind straight. Twice now I just told myself not to log in for a couple of days. I got a lot done in that couple of days. I made a new ankle bracelet, got the refridgerator cleaned out, got caught up on e-mails to friends and family, and got some necessary shopping done. After a couple of days I was re-energized and ready to start posting again.

That happens to me back in July and I think it's rather normal. When we do something everyday, then we kind of want to get away from it for awhile. I am sure your motivation will come back, just don't give yourself too much stress. I didn't feel like posting here back in July and I actually took a break from mylot. Then I came back because I wanted to do it again and I will here often (at least for this month). Sometimes I don't find interesting discussions to respond to or I have no motivation to respond to anyone and I would just leave and come back again the next day.
