It seems some people don't pay attention to the lunch and they just eat so little. However, I can't skip the lunch, otherwise I will feel so hungry when I am working in the afternoon. Usually I will bring foods to the office and we heat it with microwave oven. My foods is a bowl of rice and some meats and vegetables. What's for your lunch?

Lunch today is spicy tofu, green vegetable, chinese cabbage, some stewed pork and some dried turnip and duck soup. This is what we are going to have today. But when I am back to school, my lunch as well as other meals will lack vegetables because I don't like the food in the school canteen. How I miss home meals by my wife!

I usually can't slip lunch either, or I'll feel weak, and I may get cranky. Not on purpose, I just will feel so badly. For lunch today I ate a Weight Watchers frozen pizza. I just put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes, and it was done. Usually I like to cook pizzas in the oven, but these instructions were strictly for the microwave. It really varies what I eat day to day, but it has to be good. I wouldn't have eaten the WW pizza if it hadn't have been good. Even thought it was healthy, if it doesn't taste good, then I'm not going to bother with wasted calories.

Hi youless, If I do have lunch I will usually just make something quick like a sandwich because I am a stay at home mom of a 17 month old so I don't have a whole lot of time. Now that she is walking she really keeps me on my toes! Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear.

It's really not that important to your health when you eat a large dinner. It's not a good thing to eat too much or eat when not hungry also.

Your food sounds like what I ate today. I eat a rather larger lunch and then very little in the evening as I work a second job, and my husband eats at his work. No need to cook (she says with a smile). I like lean meats, and usually brown rice, and vegetables, maybe a dish of fruit. I like to drink a serving of milk at lunch.

Brown rice, that sounds very healthy. I just eat the normal white rice.

Lunch must be bulky enough to build up our stamina. I use to take roti's with meat curry with little rice with subji.

Today, I will be preparing a fish for the family. I dont follow some trend in preparing for lunch. Because some make it a rule to have meat and vegetable during lunch and fish during dinner. Me, I just do what I think and feel to prepare... and whats the available to cook. I enjoy it more that way.

Usually, I have a small fruit pie. I don't really eat much per day - I'll have a large meal at night and several snacks during the day. I find that eating snacks tends to keep the weight off. Otherwise, you'll end up without energy and ready for a large meal. Otherwise, I try to eat foods like beans and rice, and other legumes. The fiber and protein combo is very good for you.

I am a pure vegetarian and therefore i would take only rice, vegetables along with the curd and ghee. Have you heard about South Indian dishes? They are typical SAMBAR, RASAM, FRIED RICE, DAALS... These items are not so spicy, but carries in it high Carbohydrates and proteins. Take care and have a nice day.

I like Indian food, but I can't tell the difference of the different local. It is just like Chinese foods, different parts have quite different tastes.

Very nice food for lunch! I used to bring my own lunch as well but since my mother is traveling somewhere, I don't have lunch to bring. Today I just had bread for lunch because I got something to complete and I had to rush through lunch. But other days, usually I would have rice with broccoli and chicken, I love to eat more veggies for lunch, that won't get me too sleepy in the afternoon.

Hi, yes we should avoid skipping any meal infact, as skipping them would make us eat all the wrong kind of food, in between meals or then eating too much at the next meal we eat, both of which are bad for our health. And we should make sure that we eat a balanced kind of diet. I know at times we make do with whatever we have and we arent able to always have a good nourishing kind of meal ready, but then whenever possible, we should be able to cook up something that has the best of nutrients like protiens, carbohydrates, fats in a limited portion, vitamins etc, so that our body does not miss out on any of the vital things needed. Where i work, we just have a light snack in between, which i choose to skip as i have a good breakfast and levae for work and return in time for lunch, so thats not a problem for me. Some of the days, when i have to stay on longer at work, i carry my lunch, which consists of vegetables, lentils and chapatis, and one fruit, a little salad too, so that makes a complete full meal for me.

Normally I have some sort of balanced lunch. Something like a vegetable and meat pasta or rice based meal, or just a sandwich with beef, tomato, lettuce and cheese. Normally I make my own lunches, or just have left over dinner from the night before, but some times I will buy myself something from a nice organic restaurant - a chicken satay wrap or something yummy! =D
