it's always been an abject of debate whether the Bible is true. not to be bias, definitely it is true! it had been preserved from generations to generations. imagine? and it has proven its use through out the ages. not to mention the persons who had died and is willing to die just to preach of what is in the Bible. if it is not true, then how will you be able to explain that CHristianity is the biggest and is growing religion in ther world? Christianity that is based in the Bible is what i meant. and also, the Bible had changed a persons life. the way he look at life and the way he thinks. and most of all, the person who believes the Bible have a bigger vision and a hope for the future. that whatever may come into his or her life, as long as he is obeying the Bible, the Words from it, he feels secured and protected. i personally feel that also. i am only 21 years old, but in the Bible is where i find real joy and real meaning of life. the Bible pointed me to one great source of hope and of LOVE, that is, JESUS CHRIST. if we believe in the Bible, then we believe in JESUS CHRIST, the only Savior of our soul... believe me, the Bible is true! definitely!!!!

I am happy that you have found something that makes you happy, a belief that changes your life and allows you to feel spiritually fulfilled. However, reading the Bible gave me no such feeling. In fact, reading the Bible most of what I found was horror at the cruelty of a deity that would punish people eternally based on the actions and beliefs of one short human lifetime. There's nothing wrong with your belief in the Bible, or in Jesus Christ, or the Christian God. But neither your own belief nor the popularity of the religion proves anything to those of us with other beleifs.

So do you blame God for all the bad things you have endured? That is what I find to be the reasons of most nonbelievers.

Why would I blame a God I don't believe in for the bad things I've endured? The bad things I've endured happened because people did things that were wrong, or because they are part of my path of learning. Not because of your God. I have no connection whatsoever to that God, so why would I blame him for anything? What I am saying is cruel is not allowing bad things to happen to people on earth, but judging people based on the lives they live on earth, which are very short compared to the life of the spirit. In almost every other world religion there is an idea of either reincarnation or further learning in the spirit world, either of which means that you get more than one chance to prove yourself before you are judged. The religion I personally follow says that you continue to learn and grow forever, whether you are in the spirit world or the physical world, rather than being judged after only one short human life. Do you see what I am saying? I don't believe your God has any say over what happens in my life, because I don't belong to him. Just as I'm sure you don't believe my Gods have any control over your life. I'm just saying, theoretically if the God of the Bible existed and was in charge (which I obviously don't believe) he must be very cruel to judge humans in the way that he does.

Springlady, just to clarify, I am not an ex-Christian like many people are. I have never followed the Christian God. I have never expected anything from that deity or blamed that deity for anything because I have never believed in that deity. You do have a point that many people leave the Christian religion when bad things happen to them and they blame God, but it would be silly to say that is the case with me since I never actually believed in the Christian God.

Definitely the Holy Bible is true and here is we need faith. Naturally those who do not have faith in God do not believe the Holy Bible and many do not even believe in the existence of God. In the book of Revelation, God says let the man who is filthy be still filthy. So let's just let them and we should not be adversely affected by their negative shouts.

God bless you, jing! You are so right! The Bible IS true and it is the Holy Word of God. It tells all about Who God is and how He wants us to live our lives. It also tells of His awesome love and also of His Judgment. Keep reading the Bible and letting the Lord speak to you thru His Word. God bless!
