Can you just survive with a lot of wisdom and knowledge . Being studious and well -read would help to amass wisdom. People around would respect and adore you for the knowledge that you possess . However, will this wisdom alone keep you in good stead unless you are physically sound and enjoy financial freedom . Isn't necessary to be wise enough to make money ? Even health problems could be softened up if you have enough money to seek expertised medical guidance . But it is going to be pathetic if you have just wisdom to boast of .

Ever heard of a fool and his money are soon parted? That, in my opinion, should be able to answer your question. LOL. One will be able to make money if he has a wisdom and knowledge, provided he is able to capitalise on his knowledge, is humble enough to share the pie instead of hawking it for himself. It is no use to acquire wisdom and knowledge just for oneself. Knowledge shared is wealth gained.

If one is wise enough, he will look for information, digest it and accumulate knowledge for application when needed. With the knowledge gained, he can make use of his wisdom to help people prosper. There are people who are rich and pay wise and knowledgeable people to think for them. There are people who are poor but is able to start a business without much capital, just because he has knowledge and can make his business work. This is how knowledge can create wealth - by using wisdom to sell knowledge (not information) and make it work.

you can survive with wisdon it is just how you apply it to every day life. and you have to apply it to get where you are going. Sometimes just wisdom just dont get it all.

In our present living conditions, mere wisdom will not help you. Certainely you need money to survive and health to enjoy that wealth. But at the same time wisdom is necessary to differntiate ourselves from animal to human.

Don't confuse information with wisdom. They are not the same thing. For example... we have the information to make weapons but we don't have the wisdom to not use them.

It is certainly true that good health is very desirable. It is very hard to do anything well when one doesn't feel good. If I had to pick between wisdom and health, however, I would pick wisdom. Knowledge without wisdom can get you into trouble! If you have wisdom but don't have health, you may be able to adjust your attitude so that you can live a full life anyway. I know a lot of people who have severe health problems, but find joy in life anyway, because they are wise enough to accept the things they cannot change and adjust to them.

Dear sukumar794, You are right. Wisdom does not help in real life. It gives a individual a self-satisfaction. Now a day people do not respect the people who have wisdom. They respect only the people with wealth. You can not see the wisdom of other people but you can see visibly the wealth of others. A person with wisdom will get exposed to the world subject to his having wealth and also the person who has wisdom capable of making month through his wisdom get himself exposed and respected by the people. Otherwise a man with wisdom is like gold buried under the earth.

LOL I guess I am pathetic as I am considered wise and not wealthy. My health is ok but I am poor. However, I still have a good sense of humor. Have a good day.

I don't know if that is true. I think above all wisdom and knowledge and the pursuit of it is most important. Many of the religious icons were impoverished, but held much wisdom in which they shared with the masses. They did not die in vain, or weren't considered pathetic in any way. While you do make sense with the need for money and how it could help with medical problems and living a comfortable lifestyle, many people who fall into that pursuit of money find that they are never happy, that there never is enough and how is that wise? I feel that if you are happy with the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge, that most often you don't dwell too much on how comfortable your lifestyle is and the pursuit of wealth is not as important.

Wisdom and knowledge are keys to achieve physically sound and financial freedom. However, this wont be achieved if you wont heartily share or imply to others the wisdom and knowledge that you've known. Once you've shared it, health and wealth will just follow. Just like a key, a padlock can be opened only when someone will open it with the key.
