Watching Home Improvement Shows

Do you watch any of the home improvement shows that are available? I do watch a few. I get a lot of good ideas from them. I also learn how to save money while doing something good for my home. I have also learned how to do some projects that I was curious about. Have you learned anything new from these shows? Do you have a favorite show that you watch all the time?
I have recently been learning about "lazy gardens". These are gardens that consist of plants that need very little maintainence. They look great and don't demand a lot of time to take care of them. I always look for plants that I only have to plant once. Then they come back year after year. What about you? Do you plant many items that come back or do you plant something new every year?

I love to watch TV shows that are about home improvement, decorating and 'do-it-yourself- type shows! I have gotten so many good ideas and also learned to do so much from watching these types of shows. As for our flower gardens, we like to plant perriencials too...as they come back year after year to show their beauty. We have cone flowers, lazy susans, sedum and other perrienials.

That's all we've been watching on TV last night and today as well.
I LOVE the Home & Garden channel. I most shows if nothing else but to get ideas!
On plants : I never plant ones that will die after the first year. I only plant the ones that keep coming back year after year. Though I do plant every year - but I've got a lot of landscaped area to fill. The problem is keeping the weeds out!

I enjoy watching this type of shows sometimes. It sounds like I would have enjoyed the one you watched about "lazy gardens". I love to plant things that come back each year and require as little maintenance as possible. Then for a little variety, it's great to through in different type of annal, or maybe a couple of them each year so that it looks a bit different.

I watch HGTV every chance I get! I really like Design on a Dime, and the homemakeover shows. They show a lot of ideas on recycling, and ways to improve your home without spending a whole lot of money! I am just renting a home right now, but I am tucking away Ideas for when I am able to buy a home! I also like to watch Curb Appeal, and Design Remix, my first place.
