Do you drink bottled water?

I always have a bottle of water with me wherever I go. The bigger, the better. I recently started buying Fiji water, because the bottles are so pretty. But then I read that it has a lot of dissolved solids, the highest being silica. According to the bottle, it's supposed to be good for you, but I've never heard of any health benefits for silica. I generally reuse my water bottle, refilling it at the water cooler, so the amount of dissolved solids, isn't a concern for me. I hate to admit, I mainly buy a water bottle based on its design. If it's easy to hold, or pretty, I'll buy it. I don't like the reusable sports bottles you can buy and fill up with your own water. They tend to get funky, and when I put them through the dishwasher, they get warped. How many of you buy bottled water? Do you care where the water source is? What types of bottled water do you drink and why?

I only drink bottled water when I am out and out of stock, meaning the water that I carried with me got finished... Otherwise I prefer drinking only filtered water at home... I generally look for the brand when buying bottled water as some selected brands are one of the world's best drinking water brands... I usually buy Bisleri and Avian...

I have my own filter, so I don't buy bottled water. I have one bottle that I use for water. I want to save our planet. I take it with me all the time, but I load it with water at home.

Thank you for staying in touch. I always look forward to hearing from you. And what is up with the star system? I used to be a 10, not that I really cared or care now, but I guess some people don't like what I've said. Oh well. Please stay in touch. I enjoy hearing from you.

Ah, you make me feel horrible. LOL! We did have a filter at one time. I think we needed to replace it and then never did. Don't know whatever became of it. I know I have one of those filtered water pitchers. I am going to dig it out. Thanks for posting. It's been awhile since I've seen you here.

I have a pink Nalgene bottle, which I fill with tap water. I just wash it each night, it doesn't get too bad. Otherwise, I'll drink bottled water. I don't know which kind I usually drink, I think it's Nestle or something like that. They just changed the bottles to be kind of hourglass shaped ish?

I'll buy a pink bottle. I know Ethos water just redesigned their bottles as well. Hour glass shaped, like you mentioned.

I don't buy bottled water. Well a couple times I have just to get the bottles to use as sports bottles because it was a lot cheaper that way. I have one that I have been using for several years with no problems. Bottled water is just way too expensive and in the US and probably in most developed countries is no better and sometimes is worse than tap water.

I know a lot of people think I'm a moron for buying bottled water. It's just more convenient for me. What kind of sports bottle do you use?

It is not a sports bottle as such. It is just the pull top to open and push to close that contained the American Spring Water that I bought just to get the bottle when it was on sale at Walgreens for I think it was 25 cents for the 20 oz size. That was like a twentieth or less of what a sports bottle would cost and I have been using it for several years, the label has come off completely from handling and sweat, etc.

I buy bottled water for my whole. Since I starting losing weight I drink a lot more water. My kids drink a lot and I mean a lot of water. I don't care where I buy it from or what type of water it is.

That's great that your kids drink water. Too many kids drink way too much soda.

That sounds very time-consuming. How much do you boil at a time, and how do you store it? Thanks for posting.

I drink bottled water, as was tired of boiling water. I'm drinking Sparklett's now, but prefer Arrowhead, so its a big change. It cost me less to drink Sparklett's and I have it delivered every two weeks.

I'd love to have a water service. But it's cost prohibitive here. Thanks for posting!

I actually fill bottles with tap water and keep them in the fridge so their cold. I love that they have caps so I don't have to worry about the kitty dumping one on my desk or pc. I don't generally buy water unless I absolutely have to and can't stand the flavored waters. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I'll buy bottled water when I have no other option for getting liquids - I can't drink colas & find most sport drinks nasty. Mostly tho, I don't drink water - I know - its good for me - but I can't abide the taste - or lack there of. I do make tea & I just use the city water supply. My pipes are fairly new (30ish years) and the city has an excellent rated water supply. There are times when its got a smell/taste, but that goes away if its tea or chilled.

I also don't like colas (unless I have an upset stomach) and sports drinks are icky. I won't drink the "fitness" waters. They have corn syrup. Thanks for posting.

That's the one problem with refilling bottled water at the tap. It doesn't get very cold. On hot, steamy days, I'll keep several in the freezer. Thanks for posting.

Yes I do buy bottled water when I am out and thirsty. I buy Wilkin's bottled water because they have been here for a long time and are good in processing clean drinking water.

We have a Brita filter attached to our tap because the water we get regularly is fill of all sorts of horrible stuff and at certain times of year we get algae in our water. So I fill my glass bottle with the filtered water. We are supposed to get a new water purification plant as soon as they get the money. I do not like using sports bottles, I use glass bottles. I tried a sports bottle a few times, but did not like it that much. When the sewer backed up in winter, I had to go outside and use the snow. Also before when the algae was very bad, we had to boil the water. Only when you first attach the filter, the water has an alkali taste that I do not like, but that is preferable from getting lead poison and glass bottles are better. You can clean them better and you can see how much water you have.

I do not like water at all so i drink flavored water or i take those propel packets with me wherever i go and add to my water its much better, and did you know that drinks with caffeine in them actually dehydrate you . I love coffee but i know just because it has water in it does not mean i am getting that water, that actually does not count and if you start drinking water in about a week you will notice you have so much more energy.

I do drink bottled water. I also have a filter for all my water at home so I can drink cleaner water from the tap. I find the taste of filtered or bottled water better, less chemically than regular tap water. I keep a pitcher of filtered water in my fridge all the time and always have a bottle with me at work. I find that having a bottle makes me drink it more than if I had to get a glass all the time.
