I just found a site www.restaurant.com. It is great. You buy "gift" certificates for different restaurants at a great discount. They have mostly $25 ones for $10 and $10 ones for $3. Plus they are running a special that expires tonight .. buy any certificate and get a $10 one!
I know I can't really afford to spend money right now but I sure wish I could! I am going to bookmark this site for future reference.
I was just looking at a place by us - $25 certificate for $10 but you have to spend $50 when you go there (well that is easy enough for a family of 5). So if we spend $50 at the place but use the certificate we got for $10 we will only spend $35! That is $15 saved. Pretty good if you ask me.
Do you know of any places like this? If so I would love to know about them. I am all about saving money.

Wah, I hate living in the middle of nowhere! I tried searching for anything near me on restaurant.com and found nothing! That always happens to me on cool sites like that, they don't have anything in my area. I need to move somewhere more popular!

Thanks for telling us about that! We don't really have the exra money either but I can think of a ew things later in the year that we have planned that will require us to eat out. I'll have to see ifthey have certificates for the restaurants we usally go to when we're out of town and maybe saqve us a littlemoney on our trips. They would also be good as gifts for people...they are "gift" certificates afterall, LOL...but sometimes people but a spending limiton giftsin group settings and this would be a way to stay within those limits while still giving something really nice.
