I heard the first carol from the radio and it makes me exicited about christmas. The air started to feel cold and the food ad evrything about Christmas. How time flies so fast, its like it was christmas yesterday and its 114 days before christmas. Are you excited just like me? What reminds you of christmas? Happy mylotting!

I have not started decorating yet, though I have noticed that its a little bit warm in the early afternoon and and so much heat in the noon time, its like summer here but the rainy afternoons could help cool down the very warm atmosphere here in our place.

I have been connected to the 24/7 radio thru itunes which plays christmas songs since early of August and I have been feeling the coolness of 'ber' months. When I went to the mall this morning, I saw the staff putting up their Christmas trees with decors. Flashing lights are here once again. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as early as the 1st of September. I am getting excited once more to be receiving 'balikbayan' boxes from abroad specially coming from nephews and nieces. LOL. Usually, Christmas to me is the time for our families to be reunited.

Yes, Filipinos have a way of celebrating christmas and this is what most of our overseas workers miss. They just wish they can spend it with us but the odds seems so they send all the best they can through the presents they give to compensatethe sadness and they know it could bring smiles to our faces.

Yes, grand pa bob, it like that in the Philippines. When the month already ends with BER then, expect to hear carols and see christmas lights already on display at stores and malls. Its very different here.

What reminds me of Christmas is the cooler weather and the way everyone starts to be nicer to one another. People are always just a lot nicer the closer it gets to Christmas. I know we all would like to have more of a Christmas spirit all year round. : ) And I really love it when Christmas hymns start being sung in church. That really drives home the realization it is almost Christmas time.

I know i cant believe that christmas is so close to being here already. They already have christmas stuff out at stores! Which i totally cant believe because we have halloween and thanksgiving to get through first. I havent heard any carols yet on the radio. They usually dont start them until december around here.

HellO! I love Christmas and hearing christmas songs! I'm always looking forward to the month of december, for christmas. It's just shame and sad as here they don't really celebrate christmas the way we do in Philippines. Here Christmas is not such a big thing to be excited about. We do celebrate christmas here as well but not as amazing like in Philippines and the you can't really feel the spirit of Christmas here. I just hope that this Christmas i'll be home in Philippines with my family. ciao! txel

It is hard to think about Christmas when it is over 30 degrees celcuis here today. I am not excited about Christmas yet but I am hoping my Granddaughter who will be 2 this year will know a little about it. It will be more fun Christmas day.

Its the same here, its very hot and I just pray for rain in the evening so it wont be that hot. Its nice to sleep with rain pouring down. For the past days the rain kept it cooler in the nights. I just hope they keep coming for the days.

I would assume that you are a filipino. To fellow mylotters, we filipinos are so excited about christmas because this is the most popular holidays in our country where fond memories were made and we are all looking forward to being with our families and friends. Whenever the so called "...BER" months starts that's when our christmas spirits comes alive. We will start hearing christmas songs on the radio, malls starting to have their annual christmas decors and mall wide midnight sale! We are starting the countdown to christmas towards the new year.

Let's not rush things... I'm not anywhere near ready! I hope to make some crafts for some of the people on my list this year because the money is tight, but I just haven't had the time to get much done either. I have been so busy with everything else. I know that I need to get moving or I won't get done in time. I am still looking for a few more inexpensive craft ideas that aren't too hard to make.

Thats what I plan to do for the people that I care about. By this time we still have a lot of time to make those crafts for them. I plan to give them a glass with a crochet coaster, I know they would love it, and I plan to make crochets for my god children.

I always love Christmas. For it's very joyous and festive atmosphere. There is nothing like Christmas. New Year's Day has its sparks of lights in the sky with fireworks galore and of course, everybody is happy to welcome the new year but it is in fact, looked forward to when Christmas is over and there are only few days left before a new page of the calendar turns over, and the new year rings and reigns on; very much unlike Christmas when it is expected giddily much earlier. Valentine's Day and Independence Day could not be compared at par with the happiness Christmas celebration brings. There is always something about Christmas - not just the lights in different colors, shapes, with Christmas melodies and coordinated flickers on homes or christmas trees; not just the many presents that are received from family and friends and given to others; not just the good, ole family Christmas recipe that is being merrily shared on the table during Christmas dinner; not just the Christmas hyms that touch our hearts; not just the snow, the cold nights and even the cold mornings following the day after; not just each Christmas family tradition that has been into many generations. It is always celebrated with love, with sharing gifts, with so much joy, with making peace to one another and there is no other celebration that brings these things. And like a child's wish, I wish that it would be Christmas everyday. Each day I look forward to it with so much eagerness. It is my most favorite time of the year. In fact, I listen to Christmas songs on any day even when it's not Christmas yet especially when I am sad. :) The Christmas memories lighten me up. I intentionally leave the Christmas wreath at the kitchen wall after putting away other Christmas decoration and boxing them in for the next Christmas to come to remind me everyday the so much joy Christmas brings. I will always love Christmas. :) Even though it is not Christmas yet, and this may seem odd when the calendar pages are yet to be turned to Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations, but, nevertheless, I wish you: a happy and love-filled Christmas :)

I think about Christmas almost all year, what to get for people, how to afford to buy gifts, and trying to figure out how to get to visit my loved ones. I have to say though that Thanksgiving is the bigger holiday for us. We are more likely to get together with family at that time, as many of us have birthdays at Thanksgiving time. Not me, but brothers, sisters, and kids in our extended family. I heard Christmas carols last spring one day, I think the radio station goofed that day.

We had a big old storm blow in last night & knocked some of the heat out of the air, but it'll be back. Won't have a real cool front until end of the month. I wishfully remember when they held off until Novemeber to hit us with xmas carols.

Is Christmas going to come earlier this year? Sounds like so from your message. From where I am, it is not the season yet, well at least where the radio, TV and newspapers are concerned. Usually, only from early November will the Christmas adverts start appearing. Some streets will get decorated and the Christmas trees and decorations will sprout out in the shops. I think for September and October, we won't really get any reminders from our local media and shops that Christmas is around the corner. But I love the season of Christmas. Somehow, it is a more cheerful time of the year when people are in higher spirits, and in the mood for holidays and celebrations.
