I have quite a few photos of this event. It had ceremonial festivities of introducing the King, Queen, and of course the Princess whose hand was offered in marriage to the wiiner. Then the introduction of a few loyal Knights of the Kingdom. Then ceremonial acts of taking down ribbons strung from poles with both swords and lances by the Knights. This was my favorite part of the whole days festivities. They also had hand to hand fioghts with swords, cat-o-nine-tails, axes etc. It was to say the least, very interesting and loads of fun. Many different things happening in this arena. Some of the photos are fuzzy due to all the dust kicked up by the horses etc. But worth the time to look at them I think. Enjoy the photos please. I appreciate your time to read this and rate the photos and maybe even leave a comment on the attatched photos. Thanks again.

Oh wow...now that is something I would love to see....I'm a real King Arthur fanatic and anything Medieval or Renaissance-y is right up my alley...that photo looks like something right out of that movie A Knight's Tale...ever see it??

Yeah I've seen Knights tale. These sword fights and jousts are a blast as the crowd cheers them on. They boo the "black knight" or bad Knights. hee hee. The royal intros are something else to see then the celbration afterwards is awesome as well. Here's another shot of a Knight taken down.

I think they're covered by the Renaissance Festival for injuries.

I love the jousting event. You get to yell for your favorite knight and the pomp and circumstance before and after the event is great. I love these types of festivities, and encouraging your knight to win!

I was too busy taking photos. But I did get up in the
Royal Arena to take a couple shots. I stood behind the
King & Queen thrones for a few shots.

that's awesome that you got behind their thrones to take pictures to! Sometimes they have that area roped off at some events. Thanks also for the best response rating! I really appreciate it!

Sword battles are also fun to watch. I loved this
part of the Renaissance Festival the best. A long
entertaining show to say the least.
