Memory Recall

I had just got done resolving most of my unresolved discussions when I realized something that I had not thought of prior to doing them. It seems as I read the heading of each discussion I could almost recall the one response that stood out in my mind, like it was posted today. I mean some were a few weeks old yet I could recall that someone said a particular thing and my brain said, that's the one to earn the best response. Does this happen when you go back to some older discussions of yours? Can you recall what some or most the responses were to a point? I couldn't recall them totally but one thing about some of the responses I remembered & it helped to pick the ones for best response. Please share.

Sometimes I can pick out a comment that really sticks and that is my best rating. Others the comments are all so good and encouraging that I can't make a decision and often times won't pick one over the other. I just don't think it is fair to everyone. I have a very guilty conscience lol.

I've had people add a coment to someone elses response that would have been the BR but I can't give it to them that way. Ugghhh!!

Oh yeah I have had that happen to. That does get me sometimes lol, they have the best response and it is so good, but you can't give them recognition because they responded to someone elses comment! Agggh!

Yeah that happens to me too .. also what happens to me is wanting to give more than 1 Best Response to people that respond to my discussions, but as of lately I have been trying to choose my best response after a few days of the discussion beginning that way I get it out of the way and not burden with pages and pages of unresolved discussions to do.

I usually wait at least a week or more before awarding the BR's unless one stands out right away. Like I gave out the BR in an hours time here I think already. Hahahaha! Thanks for your time to respond also.

I’m not so lucky- usually I have to go back and reread them- : ( I think it’s too much on the brain- at the same time- I seem to be falling farther and farther behind in my to-do lists at home and at work- so I can’t remember my name from time to time- : ) I usually mark the best response within a week or 2- so things should be fresh in my memory.

yes. I have learned to really take my time before naming anyone "best response". I wait a long while and then go back and re-read entire discussion because as you said...someone stuck out. I still even then hesitate for i've gone and done the best response only to have my conversation come to life again. I hate making such decisions. Often times there are several wonderful response all equal.

There are times I pick one right away if it stands out as being great.

Sometimes that is the case for me, but other times it is a real struggle to find anything that really stands out to me. When I see that one that is a standout, then I usually go ahead and mark it fairly soon, so I do not get behind, or have to look too hard for it.

One and one, Don't feel bad picking one person over another. I am sure the others do not know if they were in the running. I choose the BR when I feel it is right and the right one. I usually try to do mine 2 times a month at least to keep from geting way behind.

Yes, that happens to me. In fact, it makes it easy to choose a best response. As I go throuygh them, I remember reading the responses before, & rereading them is like a summary.
Some do stand out.
Occassionally though it is dificult to choose a best response, as a few people do put a loit of effort into their responses.

You know what, I was thinking that very thing the other day when I was trying to get caught up with my unresolved discussions. I'm also starting to get to "know" my friends and even some others - maybe future friends? - and sometimes I can almost predict a part of what they'll have to say on various subjects and sometimes I can tell whose comment it is without reading their username. For some of you who have been here, or active here, for longer than I have this is probably quite normal but while I joined about 8 months ago I've only been consistently active for maybe three weeks. I know, pretty silly of me, I didn't know what I was missing for a long time. It just took me awhile to sort out all the trash I've accidentally signed up for online and get to one of the best sites, and definitely the best of its kind there is.

it is amazing that we can almost know what a friend will respond with to most discussions we post. I have a few that are the type that I can predict what's going to be typed at times. I've got a bunch more unresolveds now I need to tend to soon. Thanks for your time here also.

You just did what I really need to do and that's clean up my unresolved discussions. I don't often recall any significant answers to most of my discussions. Sometimes I have trouble picking out the best, because so many are similar. Once in awhile I'll get one that seems to stick in my memory. Usually because they are either funny or strike a chord in the thoughts I had in posting the discussion.

There have been some posts that when I read the headding I can remember the one post I want to mark as best response. For me it maybe the that touched my heart or one that was funny, or one that we kept going back and fourth with reponses.

Oh yes dear its happen to me severaltime. I take a few minutes twice a week or so to resolve my unresolved responses and then i spend a lot time reading the discussion topic and remembering the rest of the discussion, yes specially those which I really liked or which had something special. I like to remember these and this is kind of recalling the day and the incident or topic the discusiion

yes, on some cases i had marked the best response using the same method you had..even if its weeks old one of the responses had made the mark on my head and would just look for it and there it goes i already have the best response..so many times i had hard time marking the best response that if i could mark them all the best response i would..so there, one of my techniques on how to mark best response..

Hello My Dear Friend, GANDPA BOB;
Thank you very much for your prolific six(6) sentences with verve texts of discussion. May I go for it from one sentence to another, in sequence.
GRB QUOTE 1;-
1. I had just got done resolving most of my unresolved discussions when I realized something that I had not thought of prior to doing them.
MICHAEL :
Congratulation!!!special from me to you as you take turn a new leaf job. A sincere and great reaction for fostering friendship.
GRB QUOTE 2;-
2. It seems as I read the heading of each discussion I could almost recall the one response that stood out in my mind, like it was posted today.
MICHAEL :
I appreciate for your good determination.
GRB QUOTE 3;-
3. I mean some were a few weeks old yet I could recall that someone said a particular thing and my brain said, that's the one to earn the best response.
MICHAEL:
Yes and your good recall attitude for your smart decision making. Much appreciated.
GRB QUOTE 4;-
4. Does this happen when you go back to some older discussions of yours?
MICHAEL :
OK Grandpa Bob, my system for every responder to my discussion I will straight away "RATED +" even though they were on contra to my point of view. I mannered this way before I put back my comment to their response as to give my respect for their time and efforts in participating to my discussion. When they pay back after received an email notification, they will feel good while reading my compliments on my comment and they can obviously seen the "Rated!" mark on the right side.
Unless for those responses who did not relate to my point of discussion while putting flame words on me as I sincerely do not need any flame from them because I am already the active burning fire!!!.
For marking best response, if any responder answered for what I'm looking for, straight away I will give "Best Response"('BR') unless there were none or not yet. I will wait for another belated responder. Maximum waiting time is one month, after that I will put my mark.
GRB QUOTE 5;-
5. Can you recall what some or most the responses were to a point?
MICHAEL ;
YES, because of that system that I had applied.
GRB QUOTE 6;-
6. I couldn't recall them totally but one thing about some of the responses I remembered & it helped to pick the ones for best response.
MICHAEL:
Better to has and take that way.
My friendship sincere sharing .

Sometimes that happens to me but not all the time. Sometimes I think it's hard to give out a best response. I do appreciate everybody's comments though even if I don't give them the best response.

I have trouble with the posts, unless they really stick out as you said. I always have that one post that really sticks out. I usually wait to mark my best response until two months or so later, just to see if anyone responds better than any of the others. LOL
Thanks GP Bob
